MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLILITES

• Reviewing the scope of work, project quality plans, project specification such as
jacket fabrication specification, jacket material specification, ITP’s and related
documents.
• Reviewing the project ITP, related procedures such as Visual inspection, welding
consumable control, dimensional control, material control and handling, NDT
( RT, UT, MT & PT etc.) meet the project minimum quality requirements.
• Qualifying welders as per the position and thickness required to complete the job
in line with approved WPS’s. Arranging third parties for witnessing the
qualifications.
• Preparation of project specific QC reports such fit-up reports, visual inspection
reports, welding traceability reports, weekly progress reports, repair percentage
reports for welders, master traceability reports for material and welding as well.
• Liaising with client representatives and third parties/classification societies to
resolve the any conflict/misunderstanding in the interpretation of any project
specific documents and to get the job done.
 • Raising technical queries to client for technical concession as per the
international codes/standards of practices or project specifications.
• Coordinating with client representatives, TPI’s for smooth inspection once it has
been cleared from internal QC’s inspection to avoid delay and keep the job
cleared from QC side.
• Attending project meeting with client & other departments and raising quality
related issues to solve it within a specific time to avoid further consequences.
