BROADCAST JOURNALISM EXPERIENCE

REPORTER, UATV; FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS — AUGUST 2016-MAY 2018
Found stories in the Northwest Arkansas community that were newsworthy; day turned most stories and
live fronted them on the UATV nightly show; posted teases on social media; posted additional content, such
as digital news stories, on Instagram, as well as writing web copy for the UATV online website; built my own
graphics, lower thirds, and edited my video and audio for all of my VOs, VOSOTs, and PKGs.

SEGMENT HOST, RAZORBACK REELS; FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS — AUGUST 2017-MAY 2018

Hosted my own segments “Oldies but Goodies” and “You Gotta See” on the UATV entertainment show,
Razorback Reels. The shows were broadcast live every Tuesday night and were often live on the UATV social
media accounts. “Oldies but Goodies” was my segment about older movies that are excellent but have
probably not been seen by the college-aged audience. “You Gotta See” was my segment about television
shows that, “you just gotta see!” For each of my segments, I also selected visuals, such as film stills, that were
shown and assisted in the graphics process.

PRODUCER, UATV; FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS — JANUARY 2018-MAY 2018

Marketed and pitched story ideas to the other UATV producers for the live nightly news broadcast; wrote
original news content; communicated with anchors, reporters, producers, and staff before, during, and after
each live broadcast; built graphics; edited video/audio; stacked rundowns; controlled the prompter; initiated
interviews for news stories, as well as helped reporters get interviews; worked with my team of producers to
prepare for each live show in order to make it as efficient and effective as possible.

DIGITAL PRODUCER, UATV; FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS — JANUARY 2018-MAY 2018

Created mini PKGs that were posted on the UATV Instagram account; created additional news stories that
were graphics based and were posted on the UATV Instagram story; teased UATV nightly news stories on the
UATV Twitter account; wrote web copy for the UATV nightly news stories that were published on the UATV
Online website; lead UATV Instagram story takeovers where I posted the behind the scenes at UATV before
our live nightly news broadcasts.

Worked on live University of Arkansas sports broadcasts that include 200+ hours SECN+ Broadcasts, 70+
hours of linear broadcasts (ESPN, SEC Network, etc.). Worked multiple positions: LEDs/Blaze at Bud Walton
Arena for Razorback Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Dreamcatcher (Replay) for the videoboard at Bud

Women’s Tennis where I would also interview the head coach after the matches, Camera shading for
Razorback Track and Field (Indoor), TOC (communicated with my TD and Verizon going in and out of
commercial breaks) for Razorback Women’s Soccer and Razorback Women’s Volleyball.

SECRETARY, LADUSAU-EVANS FUNERAL HOME, ENID, OKLAHOMA, MAY 2015 — AUGUST 2015
Answered the phone; assisted the staff and funeral directors; greeted guests; assisted clients with their
funeral service requests; communicated important information between clients and funeral home staff;
assisted during funeral services; filed and managed documents. My top goal while working at Ladusau-Evans
Funeral Home was to give our clients the most positive experience and cater to their specific requests while
also being professional and sensitive to them during their time of grief.

REAL ESTATE INTERN FOR JAMI GROENDYKE, ENID, OKLAHOMA, MAY 2016 — AUGUST 2016
Managed, organized, and filed paperwork; assisted and shadowed Jami; worked independently off-site, but
was always on-call and available for in-person meetings; communicated quickly and efficiently with Jami to
ensure my work was accurate and delivered properly.

DELTA DELTA DELTA, DELTA IOTA CHAPTER, UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS, AUGUST 2015 — JANUARY 2018
Member of the Delta Iota chapter of Delta Delta Delta at the University of Arkansas; served as the Intramural
Coordinator from January 2016 — January 2017 where I led the Delta Iota chapter in which I oversaw every
aspect of intramurals, including team sign-ups for all intramural sports, scheduling/cancelling games,
uniform regulating, the University of Arkansas Intramural rule handbook, and leading my team of intramural
assistants; I also worked closely with the University of Arkansas Coordinator of Club and Intramural Sports,
where I helped brainstorm ideas on how to improve the intramurals at the University. I also assisted in the
development of the University Intramural website, Fusion IM, as I made several suggestions for the purpose
of creating a more efficient and user-friendly site. At the time, the University of Arkansas was one of the very
first universities in the nation to be using Fusion IM for intramurals, so having a say in how the website
operated was special. While also being a member of Tri Delta, I volunteered many community service hours
and also participated in fundraising events for our philanthropy, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where
one of my years as a Tri Delta Member, my chapter, Delta Iota, was the second highest fundraising chapter for
St. Jude.

VOLUNTEER ACTION CENTER (VAC) LITERACY PROGRAM MENTOR, UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS, FEBRUARY 2016 —
MAY 2016
Mentored a local elementary school student during the spring 2016 semester; Each week I would visit my
reading buddy at his elementary school and we would do curriculum-based activities including reading,
tutoring, and brain games. Since I was paired with the same student for the entire semester, we were able to
build a strong, meaningful relationship and I was able to help him not only with his school work but also with
his personal life.

TAU SIGMA NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY, ZETA RHO CHAPTER, UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS, FEBRUARY 2016 —
PRESENT
Granted membership on the basis that I was student who transferred to the University of Arkansas and had
previously completed at least one year at a prior institution and earned at least a 3.5 GPA or placed in the top
20% of all incoming transfer students during their first term.
