IELYMPICS 2016
I. OBJECTIVES

1. To foster camaraderie among the members of PIIE in PUP Santa Rosa Campus.
2. To enhance the physical development and showcase the sportsmanship of
organization’s members.
3. To provide the students opportunities for personal development through leadership,
diversity, and teamwork.
4. To let the students develop self-esteem and self-confidence through positive sporting
experiences.
5. To choose the PIIE’s pride that will represent the organization in other sports
competition.

II. GENERAL RULES and GUIDELINES

1. The event is open to all bona fide Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering students
of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Santa Rosa Campus.
2. The organization will be divided into five teams that will compete on all the sports events,
Yellow Pirates BS IE 2-1), Red Assassins (BS IE 3-1), Blue Phantoms (BS IE 4-1), Black
Vikings (BS IE 5-1) and White Admirals (BSIE 5-1).
3. All the members of PIIE-PUP SRC are invited to join the event with a registration fee of
PhP 30.00.
4. Round Robin Elimination will be applied in all the sports competition of the event.
5. All teams and its players must comply with the general guidelines and mechanics of all
the sports competition. Non-compliance shall be disqualified to play the game.
6. Player substitution is ONLY allowed ten (10) minutes before a scheduled game starts.
The substitute player must not be a player in other sports competition.
7. All players scheduled to play must be on or before time. Late teams or players for ten
(10) minutes will lose by default.
III. SPORT EVENTS GUIDELINES

A. Men’s Basketball

1. There should be five (5) players from each competing team on the court.
2. The winning team is the team that has the most number of points by the end of fourth
quarter.
3. In case there will be a tie, there will be a two – minute overtime period to determine the
winner.
4. Basic rules of the game shall apply.
5. Each team must have a minimum of six (6) players and a maximum of twelve (12)
players.

B. Women’s Volleyball

1. A team must be composed of six (6) women players on the court.

2. The winning team is the team that has two (2) set wins from a game of three (3) sets.
3. Basic rules of the game will apply.
4. Each team must have a minimum of six (6) players and a maximum of twelve (12)
players.

C. Men’s Volleyball

1. A team must be composed of six (6) men players on the court.

2. The winning team is the team that has two (2) set wins from a game of three (3) sets.
3. Basic rules of the game will apply.
4. Each team must have a minimum of six (6) players and a maximum of twelve (12)
players.

D. Chess

1. Only one (1) player per team is allowed to play.

2. Each team must have a maximum of two (2) representatives.
3. Each representative must bring their own chess board.
4. Basic rules of the game will be applied.

E. Darts

1. A team must be composed of three (3) players in a game.

2. Each team must have a maximum of four (4) players.
3. Each team must provide their own dart pins.
4. Basic rules of the game will be applied.

F. Table Tennis Doubles

1. Each team must have 2 representatives composed of a male and a female.

2. Each participant must bring their own table tennis racket.
3. Basic rules of the game will apply.
G. Mr and Ms IElympics

1. Each team must have one (1) male and one (1) female representative.
2. Winners will be based on judges’ decision
