1 History of Habib Bank Limited:

Habib bank Limited was established in 1948 . Habib Bank Limited was first
time establish with the family business in the name of the Mithabai Nathoo in
Bombay , First it was the steel business in the starting which is suited outside
of the sub-continent of the India. In 1981 The young Muslim was hire as a
employee in this business his name was Habib Esmail , He was very
hardworking young man , for his honesty an sincerity and devotion of hard
working he was not become the only shareholder of this business also he
become the president of that business .Habib Esmail has four children his name
was Ahmad Habib, Muhammad Ali Habib, Ghulam Ali Habib and the last is
Daud Ali Habib. The children of the Habib Esmail after get the education he
was change the name of that company into the Habib & Sons Lmited. After the
death of the Habib Esmail in 1928 the third son of the Habib Esmail hold that
company his name was the Muhammad Ali Habbib , He become the successful
business man and give the lot development in that company . In 1941 the family
business of the Habib & sons establish in the Bomby the first branch was opened
and also called the name of the financial institution from to steel business .In
the branch of the Habib & Sons the Quaid-e-Azam was the first person who
opened his personal account in this branch first time. At the time of
commencement. HBL was start with the paid up capital 2.5 millions. Quaid-e-
Azam was also impressed with the banking performance of the HBL and request
that the headquarter of HBL to shift into the Karachi.

exchanges in Pakistan whereas it’s Global Depository Receipts (GDRs) representing
two ordinary shares are traded on the International Order Book (IOB) system of the
London Stock Exchange.

Account opening department is the primary relationship between the bank and
customer. There are different types of the bank such as saving account , current account
, deposit account , basic banking account , profit and loss account , partnership account
,joint stock business account etc. Most of the people deposit their money into bank and
get the profit from bank for future savings these profit which the people earn in the
form of profit is called interest. Most of the people open the current account and fixed
deposit account, saving account. For the purpose of the opening any type of account to
fulfill the some requirement and these requirements are followings.

increasing trend each year as compare to the previous year.

area of the Gujrat.
 HBL play a important role in the market because HBL ful, lfil the
customer need and Demand properly.
 The deposit of the HBL is more than the other branches.
 HBL use the new advancement technology in different departments like
remittance section and accounting section.

 Pakistan chowk branch hire the well experience employees.

 The HBL chowk Pakistan branch ,the deposit is less because there are
already 6to7 branches in Gujrat.
 Less customer feedback due to the branches are more in the Gujrat city.
 In Chowk Pakistan branch the employees are not satisfy by this job.
 In this branch female employee are not worked .
 Online banking system is not available because it is not the main branch.
 No proper marketing skills available in this branch.
 Lack of proper research & development in this branch.
 The management of this branch not proper use the i.t facilities properly.
Opportunities:
 The opportunity of this branch to introduce the new product in this
business.
 The Pakistan chowk branch got the opportunity to take interest in the
market segment.

Conclusion:
HBL was establish in 1941 in Bomby at first time . At the time of the
independence the condition of the banking sector is very poor and no proper financial
institution in sub-continent . In 1941 the branch of the HBL was opened in India first
branch. Quaid-e-Azam was the first person who opened his personal account in this
bank , After that the HBL perform the banking activities in India . HBL perform the
banking operation speedily and become the goof financial institution in the
subcontinent.
Quaid-e-Azam was also impressed with the banking activities of the HBL and request
that the shift the head quarter of the HBL from Bomby to Karachi. So HBL perform the
banking activities in Karachi in Pakistan .In1974 HBL become the nationalized the
commercial bank and perform the banking activities at international level and its
branches operates at national and domestic level. There are almost 1420 branches of
HBL operate in domestic level and 55 branches operates at national level . Throughout
the HBL start the credit policy and giving the loans to the customer .HBL provide the
loan for the completion of the projects of the Pakistan like WARSAK &WAPDA. And
HBL provide the services to its customer like ATM ,online banking etc.

Recommendations:
 HBL Pakistan chowk branch need to improve your marketing plans for the
awareness of the customer.in Gujrat.
 HBL chowk Pakistan branch try to enhance the increase the online facility .
 HBL need to try the good and strong relationship with customer by getting the
feedback.
 Pakitan chowk branch need to improve the dressing style of all employees.
