INTRODUCTION

The environment is the set of physical, chemical, biological and social

components capable of causing direct or indirect effects, in a short or long
term, on living beings and human activities.

The environment is the compendium of natural, social and existing

cultural in one place and a certain moment, they influence in material and
psychological life of man and in the future of coming generations.

ENVIRONMENT

The human being is, in theory, just another species. However, its great
capacity to exploit natural resources and its control over energy make it a
different species from the others.

The relationship of the human being with the ecosystems in which he has
lived has been changing throughout his history in accordance with the
increase in the number of men and women on Earth and with the
development of their technology.

The reality is that in today's world, there are few virgin spaces left, so it is
necessary that our society begins to see man as an element of a largely
anthropized medium.

The misunderstood protectionist policies have led to the degradation of

ecosystems where man intervened in balance with their environment and
the depletion of natural spaces that have been isolated from the rest by
the construction of physical barriers such as roads, rail lines, canals, etc.

Pollution

One of the most serious effects of our relationship with nature is pollution.
When we speak of contamination, we are referring to any type of impurity,

matter or physical influences (such as chemicals, garbage, noise or

radiation) in a certain medium and at higher levels than normal, which can
cause a danger or damage in the ecological system, separating it from its
equilibrium.

The pollutants are present in almost any means, preventing or disturbing

the life of living beings and producing harmful materials and the
environment itself effects also impacting quality of life.

Of all the pollutants, we could highlight the heavy metals, since they are
very harmful for living beings and, in addition, they are those that have a
greater persistence in the environment in which they are deposited.

Sustainable development

It seems that the relationship of the human being with nature has not
developed in the most correct way.

To a large extent, this has been due to ignorance of the negative

consequences in their way of life.

Sustainable development can be defined as that model of development

that seeks to satisfy the needs of the present without compromising the
satisfaction of the needs of future generations.

A clear example of a trend towards sustainable development in fisheries

would be the use of selective fishing gear, the realization of biological
stops that allow the regeneration of fishing grounds, marine crops and
aquaculture.

Activities for the care of the environment

1. Take full advantage of sunlight to avoid unnecessary and excessive

consumption of electricity.

2. Do not use hose to water the plants or wash your car. It is better to use
a bucket to control water consumption, a vital element that many people
need in the whole world.

3. Do not leave electrical appliances that you do not use on fire. This
saves a lot of energy.

4. Use batteries, batteries or items that are recharged only with solar
energy.

5. Avoid car trips. Bicycling or walking will help you to be healthier and
also contribute to the care of the environment.

6. Choose paper or cloth bags, not plastic ones that are polluting.

7. Recycle. It is one of the easiest ways to combat global warming and

the greenhouse effect.

8. Plant trees in your garden and in your community. These absorb

carbon dioxide emissions, reducing the effects of global warming.

9. Your organic waste deposit it on the ground and not in the trash cans.
That way you can produce fertilizer.

10. If you have a garden at home, stop using pesticides, better replace
them with natural products.

CONCLUSIONS

The Environment is the greatest work of God, that is why we must take
care of it and preserve it for the good of ourselves and of all the living
beings that inhabit our planet.

Causes such as the destruction of the ozone layer, water pollution,

carbon dioxide, acidification, soil erosion, chlorinated hydrocarbons and
other causes of pollution such as oil spills are destroying our planet, but
the "cause the other causes "we are ourselves, it is for that reason, that
we must be aware of the consequences.
