AACF Introduces New C.E.

O and President

Albemarle Alliance for Children and Families, Inc. announces the retirement of Dr.

Denauvo M. Robinson. Dr. Robinson has served as CEO and President for the past 18 years and

worked with the Alliance for 20 years. “We are certainly sad to see him go, however we wish

him the very best in this next, exciting phase of his life!” said Angela Langdon-Charlton,

incoming President and CEO. Mrs. Charlton will begin in the position on July 2​nd​. She has

worked with the Alliance for the past 9 years and worked closely with Dr. Robinson. During her

tenure with the Alliance, Mrs. Charlton has worked as the Child Care Resource and Referral

Director, Program Coordinator, as well as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mrs.

Charlton received her Bachelor’s Degree from North Carolina State University in Sociology and

will be enrolling in UNC-Wilmington to complete her Masters of Education in Educational

Leadership, Policy and Advocacy in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Charlton is also married to

Christopher and have three children, Alex 22, Brooke 16 and Reagan 14. They reside in

Currituck County. “I am so thankful and honored to have worked alongside Dr. Robinson for

these last 9 years. I have learned so much from his expertise in the field and I look forward to

leading Albemarle Alliance for Children and Families, Inc. into the future. I am confident that

we will continue to grow as we build upon the programs and services that we currently offer

throughout Northeastern North Carolina.”
