Assign Characteristics in Class

SPRO – SAP Ref IMG – Materials Management – Purchasing – Purchase Requisition – Release
Procedure – Procedure with classification – Set up procedure with classification

Double click on Release Groups

Here create and maintain as above screen shot:

Rel.Grp: RM

OvRelPReq: Indicator Set

Class: Z_KJO_PR_Class

Description: PR release Class

Go back and double click on Release code.

here create and maintain the release code as above screen shot.

Go back and click on Release Indicator

Keep it as it is like above screen shot.

Go back and double click on Release Strategies

Click on new release strategies.

Input Release Group: RM

Release strategy: D4 MTD Manager Release

And maintain codes as you desired.

Then before proceeding classification.

Goto T-code: CL20N (Assign Object to Classes)

Now double click on release options of desired release codes for effective.

and Save.

Release procedure is done.

procedure – Procedure with classification – Check Release Strategies

Important Configuration:

 Header level release strategy: you select indicator OvRelPR in the release strategy
configuration in Release Group

 PR document type configuration select indicator Overall release for the document types
for which you want to effective release.

Delete Release Strategies

1. First check the release strategies is there any pending undeleted release strategy,
release group and release code is existing or not.
2. If existing then create the said release group, the system automatically display the
release code and release strategy assigned to that specific release group.
3. Then first delete the release strategy
4. Then delete release codes and then release group and save on customizing object
5. Then you define the release strategy on fresh and check release strategy.
