Slide 1:

Good morning ladies and gentleman.

Our honourable examiner Pak Andy Trirahkmadi and Bu Rien Rakhmana, and our beloved friend.
Thank you for the chance given to us. For this time, we want to presen our final project proposal. But
before, let us introduce our self. My name:

Slide 2:
This is our outline:

Slide 6:
OPEFB contains lignocelluloses that can produce simple sugars and fermented by microorganism to
produce products such as biobutanol.
We can see the content of OPEFB on the slide. Bla bla bla
For this research to production biobutanol, we use the cellulose.

Slide 7:
Biobutanol is one example of biofuel has energy content almost similar with premium, which is
equal to 29,2 MJ/L with octane number 96.
Through the utilization of bioconversion technology, OPEFB can be hydrolyzed to produce simple
sugars.
Fermentation is the process of converting the substrate into new products and producing energy by
decomposing the compounds by microbes.
Research on OPEFB bioconversion technology as raw material for the production of butanol is
important, because of its value added is high and can be used as a renewable fuel.

Slide 15:
SSF
• SSF stages are hydrolysis and fermentation activities that are carried out simultaneously in
bioreactors that already contain enzymes and nutrients that microbes need for their growth.
• microbes will live by utilizing carbon sources under conditions of temperature 37C and pH 5.
Fermentation will take place in accordance with the variation of time and substrate
variation.
• SSF system will be implemented by adding cellulase enzyme.

 Based on Figure 4.1, the highest biobutanol content is obtained

when the fermentation time is carried out for 96 hours for every 5%
TKKS with a value of 0.1419 g / mL. The lowest biobutanol content
obtained during the fermentation time is 48 hours for every 1%
TKKS with a value of 0.045 g / mL. This is because the time of
fermentation can affect the production of biobutanol, where the
longer the fermentation time, the biobutanol production increases.
 One of the parameters that can affect the fermentation in
biobutanol production is the substrate. Based on Figure 4.1, it can
be seen that the highest biobutanol content is found in 5%
substrate variation for 96 hours fermentation time. While the
lowest biobutanol yield was found in the variation of 1% TKKS for
48 hours fermentation time. This difference in yield is thought to be
caused by the amount of glucose content of the 5% TKKS variation
provided for bacterial growth.
