Ooban Campaign

Naboo is similar to its namesake in the Star Wars galaxy, and is the home of a Tau Sept.

Classic Tau make up the northern settlements, while in the Jungles and swamps of the
southern hemisphere a series of Kroot settlements have appeared.

FACTIONS INVOLVED

Tau/Kroot – the defenders of the Sept

Eldar – Farseer Tathlen has forseen a the dire threat posed to Eidrissaim by the formation
of a daemon world, and has denied opposition from her peers in order to oppose the
enemy.
Chaos/Daemons – A chaos Lord leads his warband to Naboo with the intention of
creating fertile ground for a Daemonic incursion, and possibly even a permanent warp
rift.
Tyranids – Part of the Eldar plan involves diverting a portion of a nearby hive fleet to
Ooban in order to form a defense against the predations of the warp.

PHASE 1

Karrianthor leads a strike force to Naboo in order to raid the Tao settlements and
encourage them to increase their military presence on the planet.

Tathlen leads a strike force against the Hive Fleet in order to capture specimens that can
be used to draw the Tyranids towards Ooban.

PHASE 2

Hadrak arrives in the Naboo system with his warband, and plans his assault on Ooban,
opposed by both Karrianthor and the Local Tau garrison, precipitating a three way
guerrilla war.

Tathlen arrives with her deadly cargo, which are turned loose on the planet by enemy
actions.

PHASE 3

As the barrier with the warp grows thin and a Daemonic incursion gathers pace, the Hive
splinter fleet arrives. The forces of Chaos and the Hive Fleet clash in an epic duel, while
the Eldar try and keep control of the war and the Tau struggle to survive.
THE CAMPAIGN

Phase 1

In order to gain the attention of the Tao, Karrianthor leads raids aimed at terrorising and
angering them. To this end he sets about taking captives and stringing up their mutilated
forms to be found by later patrols. Game 1: Slave Raid.

A hunter cadre is formed to seek out the Eldar raiders, and Karrianthor ambushes and
destroys them Game 2: Ambush

Tathlens strike force engage a Tyranid hive fleet, drawing them out to be attacked Game
1: Planet Strike.

Eldar boarding parties fight to establish a foothold on one of the larger Tyranid vessels

Eldar forces spread out in an attempt to take and control the ship Game 2: First contact

The Eldar strike team hold out against the awakening waves of defenders on the tyranid
hive Game 3: Wave Attack

Phase 2

Hadrak’s cruiser arrives in the Ooban system, and clashes with the Tao fleet that has been
sent to deal with the Eldar raiders Game 1: BFG, Planetary assault (or blockade run).

Hadrak launches his assault on Tao defensive positions Game 2: Planet Strike

As the Chaos forces consolidate and land equipment, Karrianthor leads a strike force
aimed at killing Hadrak and cutting off his invasion at the head Game 1: Pre-emptive
Strike

Hadraks follow up strike pushes through towards a Tao city, slaying all in their path.
Game 2: Black Crusade

While the Tao suffer the bulk of Hadraks attentions, Eldar strike forces assault the chaos
landing zones Game 2: Scorched Earth

Pushing past the Chaos defenses, the Eldar discover the Warp portal the Labyrinthe will
use to open their assault on Ooban. Game 3: Invasion

Phase 3
The Tyranid beasts imported by Tathlen begin to stir in the southlands, raiding Kroot
settlements and disrupting the forces there Game 1: First Contact

Tathlen leads a force to clear a path for the Tyranids through the mountains and directly
towards Hadraks forces in the north. First she must clear out the hunter cadres holding the
mountains Game 3: Counter Attack

Tyranids swarm into Northern Ooban, clashing with the rising tide of daemons. Game 1:
Wave assault

Tao defenders struggle to stall the waves of Tyranids long enough for civilians to
evacuate out of their path Game 2: Fighting Retreat

A combined offensive in the warp and on Ooban leaves the Hive mind disoriented
enough for the daemons to launch a devastating counter attack Game 2: Night Fight

As their defensive lines crumble, the Tao prepare a desperate last stand Game 3:
Infestation

The titanic war between the daemons and Tyranids reaches its climax Game 3: Fight to
the Death
