Topic: Multicultural Music

Key concept: Identity

Why? I choose Identity for the multicultural music because I want that every student recognize
between them the different cultures they can have in their team work as long as the same
time we share information about different kind of music in different cultures around the
world. So they can be in the shoes of others and to respect diferent kind of thinking and form
to live.

Related concepts:

Visual Culture: because the students needs to be able to recognize the diferences between the
unity in the world, they need to acept and respect them also to give a big value to every
culture.

Expression: Because the students need to understand diferent kind of music of the world and
the better way to do this is living the music, playing that kind of music.

Conceptual understanding 1: To develop understanding of different music of the world

through the performance of music.

Conceptual understanding 2: To recognize the diferences between unity in the diferent music
cultures of the world through the performance of music.
