ders need the highest level of situational awareness they can receive.
For instance, when fire fighters enter a burning building, they need
instant access to details. Is the building being renovated? Are the
sprinklers turned off? What is the owner doing with the property?
Somebody has these details, but the data needs to be communicated to
the fire department. Providing municipal department data to first
responders means these fire fighters stand a better chance of success. In
a natural or man-made disaster, the solution can provide assistance in
locating missing persons or coordinating volunteer efforts for searches,
general emergency status and monitoring, and data storage for volun-
teer skills, location and experience.
