THE DOYLE CONSERVATION CENTER,

The design phase follows an extensive strategic planning effort that identified projected
growth needs over the next ten years and studied uses for the 350-acre Doyle Reser- Certified LEED Gold Rating
vation. The final design reflects staff additions and advances in technology, raises the
organization’s profile through innovative design, and will meet the standards of a LEED Awards
Gold-Certified or higher building. The project involves three-phase implementation of 2006 IDID Excellence in
new construction and adaptive reuse of the complex over a ten year period. Sustainable Design +

The Doyle Conservation Center houses key conservation research and training func-
tions. The end result is a model for the organization’s values and a showcase facility for
land conservation study, training, and mentoring that will serve the hundreds of munici-
pal conservation efforts and small volunteer-run land trusts throughout the region.
LEXINGTON DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
