To Whom It May Concern:

Your job posting caught my attention because my education and professional experience closely parallel your
needs. I am a lifelong learner who loves finding new ways to engage students inside and outside of the classroom.

I have two years of classroom experience and two summer school sessions with the
Fullerton Joint Union High School District. I have taught everything from World History to U.S. History as well as
Government and Economics. I am experienced in creating a welcoming environment and enriching curriculum
that incorporates Universal Design for Learning that can accommodate individual learning needs. I am
knowledgeable on SDAIE and ELD learning strategies and focus on multicultural and inclusive teaching practices.

In addition to full-time classroom teaching, I've served as the Tech TOSA at Fullerton Union High School. I
have conducted monthly staff tech lunch meetings, as well as led department trainings on effective strategies
and tools for implementing technology in the classroom. I have attended conferences for CUE, which have given
me valuable material to build off for these trainings. I meld my knowledge of ISTE standards and technology in
my own classroom. I love collaborating with teachers in my department and campus wide, which combined with
my engaging lessons and positive student relationships, has allowed me to be nominated for teacher of the year
two years in a row. I've also served as a WASC focus group leader, cheer coach, and as the assistant coach for
softball. I am well versed in EAG's strategies, which focus on curriculum, instruction, assessment, and climate to
elevate student achievement. I also believe in Love and Logic strategies as my classroom management, using
techniques for maintaining calm and effective classrooms.

A major source of pride is that I have established a partnership with the Los Angeles Museum of the
Holocaust to provide students, at no cost, with the invaluable experience of going to the museum, seeing the
exhibits, and hearing first-hand testimony from a Holocaust survivor. On several occasions, I have also been
asked to provide content area expertise on products for nationally purchased curriculum for Teacher Created
Materials Publishing. I am currently working on my Master’s Degree in History, with a focus on Oral and Digital
History to create curriculum for secondary schools utilizing California State University's Center for Oral and
Public History. I have also successfully completed one year of BTSA.

Please accept my résumé and paperwork as a more thorough representation of my skills and experience,
which makes me ideally suited me for this position. l look forward to hearing from you to discuss my
qualifications further.

Sincerely,
