Rationale for curriculum use: American Wordspeller ESL Edition is an excellent for ENL/ELL
students, as well as students who are struggling readers. Moreover, its great for special education
students and those with dyslexia. Wordspeller is a phonetic dictionary app that allows you to
enter words phonetically and it will try to match your word to words with similar sounds. The
app gives you the definition of the word, as well as prefixes and suffixes that may change the
spelling and meaning of the word. Perhaps the best feature of this app, is that an internet

interact with them. The application allows students to have the words read to them and take notes
on the worksheet. The student can then save their completed work and email or airdrop it to their
teacher for review. This application can be used in all subject areas where worksheets are
provided to students.

Rationale for curriculum use: Prodigy is a online game that is aligned with the curriculum
standards in mathematics. The content is for grades one to eight. The students create a wizard
that will grow stronger. They learn spells and acquire new equipment while facing opponents by
answering math questions. Teachers can log in and assign their student questions that match the
mathematics lessons that are occuring in class. This allows the teacher to assign each student the
content they want them to practice, and create individual learning of the content. Teachers
receive feedback of student responses and attempts. Students have fun practicing their
mathematics skills while teachers are able to gain insight into where they are struggling and
excelling.

Over 70 countries have contributed to this resource, making it one of the most significant
cultural, societal and art repositories available as an app. Through this app, students can also
walk through museums and historically significant places through virtual reality. In addition,
students can take guided tours of exhibits in the world’s foremost museums by their curators.
