On Tuesday, August 7th, neighborhoods around the City of High Point will be joining other communities
around the country in celebrating the 35th annual National Night Out, America’s Night Against Crime!
It’s a night when community members come together to take a stand against criminal activity in their
city, show solidarity, and let anyone involved in criminal behavior know that each neighborhood is
committed to partnering with law enforcement to prevent and solve crime. National Night Out is a
yearly event that focuses on strengthening neighborhood bonds and building partnerships between
police departments and the community.

In High Point, Community Watch groups will be participating in this celebration by having various
activities for the community. Members of High Point law enforcement, fire, and city government will
also be participating in the events. Residents who can’t make it to an event can still participate in
National Night Out by turning on their porch light and taking a moment to interact with their neighbors.
