PURPOSE

To establish and maintain the uniform method of conducting regular training of the organization’s
personnel in order to make their contribution effective. This procedure also helps in maintaining
the controlled method appointing personnel for various posts based on its continuing suitability
and effectiveness.

SCOPE

This section of Operational Procedure concerns the personnel at all levels in the company.

PROCEDURE

General

The team of G.M. (Operations), G.M. (Commercial), M.R. & respective H.O.D. defines the
competence requirements for post in question. The appointing authority {G. M. (Commercial) for
commercial personnel and G. M. (Operations) for other ones}, based upon the education, judges
the competence of these personnel training, skills & experience of the persons selected to fill the
appointment. Decision of G.M. (O/C), M.R. and respective Section In charge is final in this regard.
The Director is the final appointing authority for permanent enrolment.

Where necessary, induction criteria are evolved by Management Review Committee MRC to assist
the selection process.

Competence, Awareness and Training

New entrant to the organization:

The Organization is doing the following in respect of training awareness and competency

a) Gap analysis is done on competency needs for personnel performing activities affecting quality
is determined. Based on this a training program is made by HRO in consultation with concerned
Heads of Department for execution.

Based upon the training program, training is provided in phases.


b) At the end of eachtraining, the concerned Head of Department shall submit report on
effectiveness of the training provided and competence/suitability of personnel for the
appointed post.
c) If any additional training is required, the permission shall be obtained from G.M. (Operations) or
G.M. (Commercial) is obtained as applicable by HRO& HOD. Accordingly a fresh training
program is made.
d) While making the training program, employees are made aware of the relevance and
importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives.
e) HRO keeps records of all training conducted, including the education, training, skills and
experience of all relevant personnel in their respective record.
f) On satisfactory completion of training, HRO shall hand over pertinent set of documents /
responsibilities to the personnel.

On the Job Training to Current Employees of the Organization:

a) Based on the requirements assessed by respective H.O.D., recommendation for training shall be
made to HRO.
b) HRO shall review the recommendation and on satisfaction shall put it before G. M. (Operations)
and or G. M. (Commercial) for approval.
c) On approval, training & feedback shall be conducted same as the procedure for induction.
