Offensiveness Of Roman Army:

Herqul was a king of Romans, he took revenge from Iranians and wished to defeated
Muslims of Arab. He makes a big army of almost 40,000 soldiers and gathered the
soldiers on the borders of Syria. He announced to fight against Arabs; it was the main
offence of Roman army against Muslims.

Voluntarily joining in Muslim army:

After the Herqul call of fight against Muslims of Arabs, Sahabahs were willingly united
as army and eventually strength of 30,000 people was created. Muslims had issue with
movement of food item, water and soldiers. The distance of battle place from Madina
was 500 miles which was very tough. Though, this army arrived near Roman base with
prodigious bravery. Most of the Sahabas have nothing to share but they wished to join the
army but Prophet (S.A.W) hold them due to lack of riding services. They were very
disappointed that they did not take part in Jihad.

Preparation of Jehad:

When the Prophet (S.A.W) heard the News that Romans had come for war. He (S.A.W)
told the Sahabas about the situation, it was the year of famine, so poverty was it’s at
extreme level; there was almost nothing to eat and drink. In this hard situation Hazrat
Abu-Bakar Siddeque (R.A) offered his whole property in donation, Hazrat Umar-e-
Farooq (R.A) donated his half property and Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani (R.A) contributed
900 camels, 100 horses, 1000 dinar’s and 200 silver pieces. Most of the Sahabas gave
many things according to their financial situation.

Victory of Muslims without war:

After knowledge of the concrete arrangements of the Muslims, the Romans got
completely disheartened. They decided not to fight with the Muslims, they think that
Muslims are more powerful than them, if they fight they have huge no of chance to be
defeated against Muslims. Prophet (S.A.W) stayed with his Sahabs in battle place for 20
