Answer the following problems with complete solution in a length-wise manner. Final answers should be written in Red
ballpen or other colored pens. Do not round off your answers. As much as possible shift-store your answers for your
convenience.

1) Find the charge, given charge density 𝜌𝑣 = 𝑥𝑦 2 𝑒 −2𝑧 mC/m3 of a cube with sides 2 m placed in the rectangular
coordinate axis with one of its endpoint at the origin.

2) Find the force on a 100uC charge at (0,0,3)m, if four like charges of 20uCoul are located on the x and y axes
±4m.

3) A 2uC point charge is located at A(4, 3,5) in free space. Find Electric field intensity in cylindrical coordinates
system at P(8, 12, 2).

4) Let a point charge 𝑄1 =25nC be located at 𝑃1 (4, -2, 7) and a charge 𝑄2 =60nC be at 𝑃2 (-3,4,-2). Find E at 𝑃3 (1,2,3).

5) A charge of -1nC is located at the origin in free space. What charge must be located at (2,0,0) to cause x
component of E to be zero at (3,1,1)?

6) A uniform volume of charge density of 0.2uC/m3 is present throughout the spherical shell extending from r=3cm
t0 r=5cm. If 𝜌𝑣 = 0 elsewhere, find the total charge present throughout the shell.

7) Calculate the field intensity at a point on a sphere of radius 3m if a positive charge of 2uC is placed at the origin
of the sphere.

8) Find E at P(1,1,1) caused by four identical 3nC charges located at P1(2,3,0), P2(-2,3,0), P3(-2,-3,0) and P4(2,-3,0).
