Stages of the lesson


Warm up/Review
Review previously learned materials. Start to check HW with class in 5 minutes. Ss perform
knowledge of vocabulary related to: Work/Education/Job. They are assigned to practice writing
while completing exercises 1/2/8 on WB pg 30/31. 3 Ss. come to blackboard to complete each
one an exercise. T. checks with the whole class. Time permitting, another 3-minute drilling
activity about phrasal verb: Give and vocabulary.

Introduction/presentation- Present/Revise future tenses.


Step 1.Ex. 1.-Direct Ss' attention to the instant message and give SS time to match the verb
tenses 1-5 to the uses A-E. Check Ss' answers and refer them to the Grammar Reference section
for more information. GR9-GR10. Focus on conjugation of verbs in 3 forms :
Affirmative/Interrogative/Negative – ‘Will, and ‘going to,. Explain uses of ‘will, and ‘going to,
and introduce time expressions.
Step 2. Explain forms and uses of Future Continuous and Future Perfect, time expressions,
giving example of actions to show real situation.
Practice- Ss conjugate a verb in Future Simple (3forms) and ‘be going to +infinitive of the main
verb,. Confident Ss. conjugate different verbs/Less confident Ss also are involved. Then they
practice form and uses. Monitor and help them understand if necessary.
Explain the task in Ex.3/pg.42 SB, and then give Ss time to complete the task. Check Ss’
answers around the class. Ss justify their answers.
Explain the task in Ex.5/pg.43 and give Ss time to complete the sentences 1&2. Check
Ss’answers, and the rest is assigned as HW.
Homework: Ex.6+10/pg43; Ex.1/pg32 WB
