LESSONS FOR LIFE - TECHNICAL HELP – 23 March 2016

Lessons For Life software keeps asking activation even though the software was activated on the
computer before. Somehow you may have tried to install two different activation codes on the same
computer. As a result, the software sees two signatures and is not able to pick up the latest signature.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS TO FIX THE PROBLEM

1) SHOW HIDDEN FILES


Go to Control Panel – File Explorer Options – View Tab – Click (View Hidden files, folders, drives)

2) Go to ADMIN USER account of the PC.
Go to this folder ("C:\ProgramData\Asign")

You will see signature files ending with (.sig). Delete everything inside this folder.
(Do Not delete the folder. Delete the files inside the folder)

3) Go to each USER account of the PC (with administrator account) and go to this folder.
(C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\ASign)

Check to see if you have any files in this folder. If you see any file in this folder
DELETE ALL FILES (SIGNATURES) inside this folder.

(Do not delete the folder. Delete the files inside the folder)

If you have more than 1 user account/profile on your PC, then go to each user account
on the PC and delete any file in this folder for each user name /profile.

C:\Users\[User Name1]\Appdata\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Asign
C:\Users\[User Name2]\Appdata\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Asign
C:\Users\[User Name3]\Appdata\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Asign
C:\Users\[User Name(............)]\Appdata\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Asign

4) ACTIVATE YOUR SOFTWARE

- Shut down and restart your PC.


- Go to your software on your PC and click the ENGLISH.exe.
- Activate the software using the SAME SERIAL NUMBER (ACTIVATION CODE) you already used
on the same PC.
- Your software should be playing now.
- If the software is not playing, shut down and restart your computer and try again. The software
should be working now.
- Once your software is working, you should go back to Control Panel and hide your hidden files,
folders on your PC (Click - Don’t show hidden files, folders option)

Once the software is activated, it will work on all user names /profiles. The software will not ask
for any activation. It is a permanent activation on the PC.

ADDITIONAL TROUBLE SHOOTING

If the software is working on admin and some user accounts but it is not playing on another user
account on the same computer, or it is asking for activation again that means the old signature
is not removed from that particular user account in that computer. You need to delete the old
signature form that particular user account to solve this problem.

For example on a PC:


Admin User – playing
User 1 – playing
User 2 – playing
User 3 – not playing .. That means old signature is not removed. Go to User 3 profile on the computer and
delete the old signature.

- Show Hidden files on the PC.


- Delete all files inside this folder for this particular User account that is causing the problem.
The files will have (.sig) ending
(C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\ASign)

Try using the software again.

Once your software is working, you should go back to Control Panel and hide your hidden files,
folders on your PC (Click - Don’t show hidden files, folders option)
