Flowers on the altar this weekend are sponsored by Gayle & Donna Short in honor of Kyle &
Rachel’s wedding anniversary; and by Tom & Midge Hedrick celebrating the blessings of all
teachers.

A $500 donation to be matched has been made by Mike & Margie Frank to boost the
window fund! There will be a collection box at the back of the sanctuary for your donations.
The Property Team would like to replace all of the windows on the north side of the building
before winter, which would cut back enormously on heating costs. The volunteers installing
the windows are donating their time/talents and the windows have been purchased from
Carhart Lumber.

Worship Services can now be viewed in their entirety on St. John’s facebook page at
www.facebook.com/stjohnsnorfolk.

NEXT WEEKEND: On Rally Sunday, August 19, the late service will return to it’s fall time of
11 AM. Sunday School begins! Sunday School teachers will be installed! Bring your
backpacks to have them blessed for the school year. Also, a congregational vote at 9:45 AM
to release funds for a Pr. Justin Wiese Memorial Scholarship at Wartburg Seminary.
