We appreciate the time and effort that were involved in the preparation of your manuscript. However,
the JOGNN Editor has decided not to accept it for review. We try to assist authors by making timely
decisions about the potential appropriateness of their manuscripts to the mission and scope
of JOGNN. Therefore, only those most likely to receive favorable peer review based on originality,
scholarship, and contribution to the field are considered.

Specifically, Editor Dr. Nancy Lowe has noted the following: "Although I appreciate your research of this
topic, I do not think it has wide enough appeal for JOGNN's mission and its primary audience. The findings
are limited in scope and locale."

Abstract

Purpose: The objective of this study was to examine the effect of progressive muscle
relaxation program on exercise behavior and clinical outcomes among Patients with
Hypertension in a Community Setting, in Indonesia
Methods: A quasi-experimental, two group, pre-test and post-test design was used in this
study. The experimental group received progressive muscle relaxation program, whereas the
control group did not receive the program.
Result: 30 subjects in the experimental group and 30 subjects in the control group
completed the program, respectively. The results of this study indicated that significantly
differences on exercise behavior (p = .000), blood pressure level (p = .000) and cholesterol
total level (p = .000) between the experimental group and control group.
Conclusion: The progressive muscle relaxation program was absolutely effective to improve
the exercise behavior and some clinical outcomes including blood pressure level and
cholesterol total level among patients with hypertension. Further studies should be
recognized by using larger groups over a longer time frame and Health care providers also
should focus in promoting this program among patients with hypertension.

"Predictors of Lung Impairment among Rural Dwellers in Southern Thailand"

Abstract
This study aimed to identify the predictors of lung impairment among people
in rural communities of southern Thailand. A cross-sectional descriptive
research design was employed and 434 persons who had been living for at
least 15 years in 4 communities in 2 provinces in the southern part of
Thailand were recruited. A questionnaire was completed by the participants;
a physical examination and pulmonary function test with a flow-sensing
spirometer was then administered. Multivariate multinomial logistic
regression was used to examine the predictors of lung impairment, which
accounted for 34.5% of the participants. The multivariate logistic
regression analysis revealed the following predictors of lung impairment:
brick kilns predicted obstructive lung function impairment (OR = 13.43, 95%;
CI = .92,7.15); brick kilns and BMI predicted restrictive lung disease (OR =
11.41, 95%; CI = 5.30, 24.55; OR = .25, 95%; CI = .11, .55); and exposure to
brick kilns and tobacco leaf curing predicted combined obstructive and
restrictive lung impairment (OR = 3.48E9, 95%; CI = 6.92E8, 1.74E10; OR =
7.13E8, 95%; CI = 1.36E8, 3.75E9). Standard guidelines for running
tobacco leaf curing and brick kilns and regulating local manufacturing need
to be addressed to protect people from chronic lung diseases. In addition,
controlling overweight conditions and increasing regular exercise should be
a campaign for lung health.
