Please bring this completed Learning Plan to your Interim Review meeting. Discuss.

Please provide a list of your learning goals for weeks 3 and 4 of this professional experience; ensure you describe how you
plan to achieve these goals (hand written or typed):

During my final weeks of placement focused will be placed on ensuring I have sufficient understanding and
background knowledge on each subject and topic being discussed, as students are developing a more in depth
knowledge into the topic, more specific and detailed questions are beginning to arise. I wish to be able to provide
sufficient responses that allow students to gain greater insight into concepts, events and procedures.
Additional attention will be spent on modelling correct spoken English, as I often find my self-stumbling over words
when giving explanations and instructions, I do not wish for students to become confused as a result of this matter. I
will focus on slowing down my speaking voice and having an emphasis on clear and precise verbal directions.
So far, I have spent time ensuring students with negotiated lesson plans have a clear understanding of each task, and
have modified tasks accordingly to student’s needs and abilities. As student learning in each topic is progressing and
specific assessment tasks are beginning to be set, I wish to greater ensure these students have the support required
for individual learning progression.
I am conscious of children’s body language when listening to instructions, and wish to pay greater attention on
student body language to determine student engagement. I often believe that time can get away from me when
conducting explanations, due to this I wish to focus heavily on time management and allow sufficient time for
students to complete tasks during lesson time.
This is a further focus when conducting discussion based learning, I often feel as though students switch off if they
are not the student being asked the question. I aim to implement a questioning technique that nominates the
question to the whole class, before the student, which in turn aims to give everyone an opportunity to think about
the possible answer and response to question.

I/We have discussed and support the learning plan above:
