Beginning:
The principle of our design is a prototype to design a micro-motor that is functional for
different types of procedures and only requires changing the tip of the device according to
the procedure, for this we take into account the procedures most used in a dental office such
as:

• Extraction

• endodontics

• Prostheses

• Periodontics

• Prophylaxis

According to these procedures the

variation of revolutions is made directly in
a motor that will use a small motor that
allows us to reduce the size of the
equipment and also the weight so as not
to affect ergonomically the personnel that
makes use of the equipment.

Now we have an engine that, through the

interface in Arduino (FIG 1), we can
select the procedure that we want to
perform and the communication with the
Arduino changes the speed and thus
visualizes it in an indicator (Fig 2)

FIG 1. Design of Micromotor prototype.

FIG 2. Labview Interface.

As part of the prototype, we want to implement a design of a unit on a scale so that we can
include the micro-motor as a part included in the holder of the professional module and thus
provide evidence of a modern and functional prototype for the service.

As tests to verify its operation, different materials will be used depending on the density of
the tooth according to the procedure, such as:

• Porcelanicron: For procedures in which it is

sought to polish and perform cleaning in the oral
cavity.

• Plastic: For procedures where cutting and

cleaning are sought.

• Clay: For extraction and extraction

procedures.
• Plaster: For procedures involving bone or material
of higher density within the oral cavity.
