Key responsibility areas:

 Responsible for managing overall operation for volume of 2.7985 MMT Imported Coal supplies to
National Thermal Power Corporation (Limited) from Eastern and Western ports of India
 Coordination with Shipping & Logistics, Commercial and Finance team for smooth running of
operations.
 Reviewing existing systems & procedures for achieving higher operational efficiency, resource
rationalization.

Deliverables:

 Single point operations coordinator for the supply of 2.7985 MMT of imported coal to Various NTPC
power plants in India from Eastern and Western ports of India
 Responsible for complete MIS regarding supply of Imported coal like Executive Summary for actual
performance against Plan/Daily report to NTPC officials/Shortages report/Quality
Reports/Customized reports as and when required by management.
 Prepare Daily vessel/stock/dispatch status report for NTPC and Senior Management
 Providing procurement plan of imported coal to sourcing team with respect to supply to NTPC
power plants
 Responsible to nominate the vessels to discharge ports and concerned Handling agents.
 Familiar with CHA & Stevedoring handling contracts.
 Regular Monitoring of Custom duty payments/Railway Freight Payments/Handling agent payments
 Involvement in fund planning.
 Coordination with Bank regarding Bank Guarantee amendment/extension/foreign remittance.
 Rake dispatch coordination with concern persons on real time basis from Eastern and Western ports
of India.
 Monitoring Daily Dispatch Planning and Stock position.
 Regular coordination with our TPS based personal and regular communication & follow ups
regarding Rake receiving/invoicing/Payments.
 Regular Correspondence and Liaison with NTPC Corporate office and Thermal Power plants
 Monitoring timely submission of invoices at NTPC Plants /Reconciliations and keeping track for
timely collections of payments.
 Coordination with foreign supplier for import documents.
 Tracking the payment of foreign supplier against Import Bill Payments on due date under bill of
exchange with the help of finance team
 Coordination with finance division and banks for the forward booking with reference to the invoices
raised by foreign supplier.
 Team handling of approx 20 personnel.
 Handling Business related Queries.

Customs and CHA Operations

 Coordinate with CHA to provide the documents and custom duties on various ports thereby
clearance of the cargo on priority basis.
 Coordinate with F & A for remitting the timely funds towards custom duty and stamp duty.
 Coordination with CHA for final assessment of the Bill of Entry/documents at discharge port with
custom authorities.
 Keeping track of custom exchange rates, trying our level best to save custom duty by timely filing of
Bill of Entry on the best available exchange rate.
 Coordination with supplier's Singapore/ Dubai Office for import documents related to PSU's.
