Participate in machinery installation, repair and maintenance; Assist in preparing design,

Assist in the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures; Carry out a limited range of
mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials

Mechanical Engineering Technologists Specific Skills


Estimate costs and materials; Design tools, moulds, jigs and fixtures; Supervise, monitor and
inspect mechanical installations and construction projects; Prepare and interpret engineering
design, drawings and specifications
