AGENDA

1.0 Welcoming Speech

1.1 Mr. Ahmad Bin Melan, the school principal, greeted and expressed his gratitude to all language teachers for
their continuous commitment and cooperation in meeting deadlines and adhering to school schedules.
1.2 He also thanked all language teachers for being alert on current changes and conducting teaching and learning
of the 21st century in the classroom (PAK21) in par with the needs of the Ministry of Education to transform.
1.3 Mdm. Florence Charles Panai, the head of language department thanked all language teachers for attending
the meeting. With the presence of the principal, she hoped all language teachers will be more motivated to
teach and implement all the PAK21 skills in their classrooms.
2.0 Announcement
2.1 Mdm. Florence announced that Mdm. Agatha Sandra Wilfred will be replacing Mr. Kenny Anak Simon
Jacob@Jacob Sindu as the head of English Language Panel. She thanked Mr. Kenny for all his hard work
throughout his years of service.
2.2 Mdm. Florence urged all language panels to manage PCG and budget allocation fairly by March as it is hoped
that the financial management for the students to be more systematic.
2.3 Mdm. Florence reminded all the panels to ensure that the panel almanac is adhered to school schedules. She
also emphasized on activities focusing on SPM candidates such as OPPM and PInTaS.
2.4 ETR for GROW and SAPS must tally well with each other.

3.0 Strategic Plan

3.1 Every panel must obtain the hard copy of the strategic plan which is to be filed.

4.0 Pentaksiran Kompetensi & Literasi Sains, Matematik dan Bacaan (PKLSMB)
4.1 The head of department explained that there are 3 levels of PKLSMB evaluation for the students
(Low/Mid/High). She reminded all head of language panels to view the evaluation results.

5.0 HEBAT Modules

5.1 The chairperson announced that there are 20 units of HEBAT Modules to be used by
teachers in teaching and learning in classrooms. Each module contains teaching & learning guided aids for
students in answering PISA questions. Teachers may use the whole module or only half of it according to topics
in PdPc. The usage of HEBAT modules should be stated in the reflection of teachers’ daily lesson plan.

6.0 SPM 2017 Excellence Programme
6.1 English Language 1119 SPM 2017 Excellence Programme was held at SMK Medamit. 20 weak SPM candidates
from every secondary school participated in the programme. All schools needed to cover their own transport
costs.

7.0 PLC
7.1 The chairperson reminded every language teacher to have PLC such as Teacher Sharing Session or
Coaching/Mentoring Session. Every discussion on any issue together with its solution should be recorded in
forms. Remarks and techniques discussed must be recorded as the outcome of the discussion.

8.0 Daily Lesson Plan

8.1 All teachers must meet the weekly submission of daily lesson plan (RPH) deadlines. The first RPH submission is
on 27 January 2018.
8.2 Learning objectives and success criteria must be inserted in lesson plans.

9.0 CEFR/ KSSM Form 2 (2017)

9.1 The chairperson reminded all language teachers to be punctual for classes as there will be visits from the CEFR
assessor for the implementation of PAK21 in PdPc.

10.0 Highly Immersive Programme (HIP)

10.1 Mr. Kenny is still the HIP coordinator this year. HIP will be implemented in one of the curricular days in school
whereby all language teachers are encouraged to use English language while teaching the students in the
classrooms.

11.0 Other Matters

11.1 The chairperson briefed all panel members on the schedule for the submission of Borang Keberhasilan.
Teachers need to submit the soft copy of their E-cerap forms to Ms. Dayang Zalena via telegram.
