From Editor’s Desk

By: Ashok Jain | mag@spiritualindia.org

First of all wish all the readers Happy Deepawali. By the time this edition
reaches you, Deepawali would have passed and I wish you had memorable
times. Let me tell you that we complete one year of publishing Samarpan
magazine and so this is a kind of special anniversary issue. At whatever

stage Samarpan is today, it is because of its readers, contributors and the

magazine team. We could not publish it in September due to one reason or
another. So even though it is published in October, we will call it September
edition so that the continuity is not broken. Samarpan is published once
every two months and we hope to let it be like this till we get better idea.
We start a new section called “Letter to Samarpan”. You can send your
suggestions, criticism, view point about the magazine and we
will publish them. This will be a way we will talk to each
other. You will also find replies from the Samarpan
Team in the same section from next edition onwards.
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 5

The first year of Samarpan had been just fantastic. From just an idea to the
final makeup of Samarpan, it was an enjoyable experience and has been a
great humbling experience for the Samarpan Team. We never thought that it
would become so much popular, let me share the fact that we receive
hundreds of articles via emails for publishing in the magazine. We never
discard any article and publish all of them unless there are any technical
issues. Please do not send your same articles repeatedly if you had sent it
earlier. We will publish your article in later issues if it could not get published
in this issue. Please bear with us for some time and please be patient.

Like other editorials, this editorial was born because of an inspiration in the
middle of night one fine day. These days I am quite afraid, I fear that the
time is ticking away while I live life unconsciously. I wonder if the worldly
objectives which I am pursuing making me blind to the real purpose of life.
The time is ticking away from all of us in fact; hope we realize this fact
sooner than later. You know we do not have to do anything to feel hungry,
thirsty, to feel jealous, to feel angry etc. However we have to channelize our
energies when we have to meditate, read books, and listen to spiritual talks
because we have to travel against the tide; the tide which tries to carry us
away from our real self and make us forget ourselves into the trivial
pleasures of the world. If we have to rise we have to put efforts and there
can be no substitute to “effort or karma”.

You know intelligence can make us a real fool in spiritual sense. I remember
one incident when a person was justifying the non-vegetarian mode of
eating because he felt that Shirdi Sai Baba never said anything against it
and Baba himself ate non-veg food. He said that if Baba wants him to give
up this habit, Baba will show him the way. You know these are wonderful
points. However, I just wondered if that person had really left all decisions of
his life onto Baba? Did he always get inspiration to something from Baba and
then he does it? We can easily see that we cannot make up for our weakness
by quoting from scriptures or distorting certain facts from the lives of Sai
Baba. Modes of eating are definitely one’s choice and so let us not bring
Baba here. Because Baba did many more things which we do
not do in our lives, so there is no need to compare our
lives with Baba’s life. We should live it as correctly as
possible based on our understanding. If we know
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 6

certain ideals, but cannot pursue them and use arguments to justify them,
we are going nowhere. To reach Sai we have to live in harmony with all
living beings around us.

Let us seek Sai in our heart, in our acts, in our speech, in our thoughts and
in every aspect of life. It would be foolish if we seek Sai only on Thursday
and that too in his temple. We should see him more often in our everyday
life. Let us not be overly attached to the image of Sai while the real Sai slips

away from our lives. Hope we all understand this and think about this. Baba
is not his appearance, he is also his non-appearance. Baba is not in the
statue, he is outside it too. Baba is not just in you, it is in everyone.

Do send your feedbacks and comments and keep sending your experiences,
articles and other posts to us and we will publish them.
Enjoy this edition of Samarpan. Love you all.

Baba always helped me after

my father’s death
By: Asmita Sharma

My father never believed in God. In fact, he always scolded my mother and

stopped her several times from doing any kind of puja. Once my father got a
paralysis attack, and in a few months, I lost my father. He had brain
hemorrhage. During the last few days of his life, I observed that my father
had a huge respect for Sai Baba. In fact he once told me that he was
not feeling well one day and Sai Baba came to his rescue. He wanted to visit
Shirdi which could not happen.

After my father's death our family situation was very bad. We were
financially weak. Moreover, we were cheated by our own relatives. People
changed after my father's death. My uncle, aunts and relatives always tried
to create problems for us and made us unhappy all the time.

It seemed that everyone was trying to take undue advantage of our

situation. My marriage was one big issue at home. I always wanted to get
married without any dowry. But in our society to get a good proposal means
to give huge dowry which was not possible in my case because I had no
saving in my name. Whatever small saving I had was taken by one of my
aunt whom I had trusted a lot. But she cheated me badly.

There was not a single person in the family who came forward for our help.
My father looked after my uncles and the family since he was 13years old.
My father managed everything after my grandfather's death but after doing
so much my immediate family got nothing in return. My mother served for
45 years but she was left dejected and full of problems.

When I was doing my PG diploma, one guy proposed me and

wanted to marry me. But he was not from our caste.
Initially I was also very hesitant but later on I realized
that I won’t get a better proposal than this. When my
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 8

father was alive, I had discussed with him about this and he was also
convinced after meeting this guy and his family.

Since my father was not keeping well, my marriage date was not getting
finalized. Moreover we were from a joint family and there were people who
didn’t want this marriage to happen out of jealousy.

Sai Baba showers mercy on their children. In spite of this entire problem my
Baba made my brother to visit my future in-laws place and finalized the
marriage date. We were scared about the expenditures for the marriage. My

brother was not able to arrange the money for marriage expenditure. My
uncles ditched us. Neither they were giving us our share nor helping us.

But Sai Baba is great. My father-in-law took all the responsibility and
arranged everything for our marriage. Such thing rarely happens in our
society. It was Baba who arranged everything for me. My uncle and aunties
and relatives tried their best to break this marriage but it was
all in vain. In the present time, Baba has given me
everything. My in-laws are very supportive and caring.
They treat me like their daughter. My father-in-law
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 9

has taken the place of my father.

My husband is like my friend. He is very caring and supportive. I do miss

my father sometimes because he was not there in my marriage but at the
same time I feel that my Sai Baba is there for me. My Sai Baba has given
me everything. I love him a lot. Generally I don’t ask anything from anybody
except my Baba. I just pray Baba to be with me. And my only aim in life is
to be good human being and help the needy.

Sai Baba thank you for everything. I really don’t know what would have
happened to me, without you Baba. Baba is my biggest strength.

What is spirituality?
By: Ganesh Hariharan

A lot of people associate spirituality with religion and deities. But after
reading the Sai Satcharitra, I would look at spirituality from a slightly
different angle.

Spirituality to me is not thinking badly about others....

Spirituality to me is having
faith in god but inside my
heart and not as a display
to others....

Spirituality to me is
helping a stranger in
trouble....

Spirituality to me is
helping a blind man cross
the road....

Spirituality to me is
respecting and taking care of my parents....

Spirituality to me is not to shy away from a beggar on the street, even if I

am not able to give him anything....

Spirituality to me is passing on the message of god to others....

Spirituality to me is not to be egocentric....

Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 11

Spirituality to me is to reciprocate love with more love....

Spirituality to me is to feed the hungry may it be humans or animals....

Spirituality to me is not to judge anybody, for it is the Lords duty....

Spirituality to me is not to reciprocate hate with hate....

Spirituality to me is to live and let live....

Spirituality to me is to live life as much as I can according to Sai's

teachings....

Spirituality to me is the belief that Sai is watching over my every deed and
guiding me.

Om Shri Sainathaya Namaha.

Baba books tickets for me

By: Revathy Ramkumar

Every day is a miracle in life,

once we are with Baba.
Since 2000, I have been
blessed enough to be able to
visit Shirdi at least once a
year and receive Baba's
blessings. I would like to
share a very memorable
incident with you. My
husband had taken up a new
job in Abudhabi and I was

supposed to join him in

January 2007. Since it was
new-year's time and also
time during which Dubai
festival time was held I was
unable to get the ticket for
the date that I wanted to.
We tried through so many
sources without any success.

It was at this time that a

very dear friend of mine
asked me if I wished to join
them for Sai darshan to
Shirdi. I jumped at the
opportunity and we left for
Shirdi by road from Pune in the early morning so that we would be on time
for the arati. Everything went as per our plan; we had a very
good darshan and were just in time for arati, so we were
indeed very happy and full of gratitude and thanking
Sai for his greatness. As we walked towards
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 13

Dwarakamai for darshan my mobile rang and it was my husband calling from
Abudhabi. He told me that he had got a booking for the date we wanted. I
was indeed overwhelmed and so full of joy, I told my friend," look at this
miracle; the booking we were trying for the last month and more was made
available to me by Sai Baba just like that”. What to say of the grace Sai
Baba Has for his bhaktas.

This is just one of the many miracles that keep happening each and every
day of my life. After 2006 December I have not been able to visit Shirdi, but
I must mention that even here in Abudhabi every thursday we have
satsanghs and I am indeed grateful to Sai Baba, no matter which corner of
the world we are in If we have faith in HIM he is always there with us at
each and every step.

Om Sai Ram. Jai Gurudev.

Baba does reversal of brain

shrinkage
By: Mohan Dwivedi

Last year, in July, I had an unusual problem when the Chinese Doctors told
me that my brain has shrunk. The Docs were astonished to learn this as I
am too young to have this situation. According to them, it was a rarest of
the rare case, and could not happen to 31 years old, under any
circumstances.

They even said that I could be losing my intelligence and won't be able to
recognize anyone. In late January 09, it was confirmed by the doctors in
India as well. Here I have to tell you that I only took Chinese medicines for 4
weeks. It was with immense apprehension that I took those pills as I was
not sure what was given to me by the Chinese folks.

I was devastated and checked with some other quality Docs/hospitals, but
they confirmed the same. The medical system in China is poor for us,
foreigners, as there is a huge language barrier. Sai Baba was my only light
and I kept chanting his name and reading SSC till January 2009.I had faith
that he would perform a miracle and he did.

On 1st February 2009, last month, I was going to board the train to Shirdi.
On the same day, I went for MRI scan in Delhi. While I was in Shirdi,
somebody took the report to the Doctors in Delhi again, and guess what
happened? There was no shrinkage in the brain and it was reversed!!!

Sai Baba himself pulled me put of this dreadful situation. The MRI was
NORMAL and perfectly fine.

Offering of paan and supari to

Baba
By: Priyadarshini Shah

The following in an experience I had in 2008, June. It has been some time
that I had decided to write about this but never found the right forum. Hope

this can be published for other believers to feel the presence of BABA.

In June 2008, my husband was to join a new company in Pune. So before

that we decided to pay a quick visit to Shirdi. On one of our previous visits a
very strange incident had taken place. We had the night aarti at Dwarkamai
and after the aarti when I bowed down to namaskar a person
seated there told me 'I know what u r looking for. Give
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 16

Baba pan supari and your problems will be solved'. We tried to get it that
time but no one in Shirdi was ready to give it to us.

So in 2008 when we visited we took supari from home and decided to take
paan from Shirdi itself. We took our first darshan in the afternoon. As we
were enquiring for where to get paan leaves a person came and told us,
“you should give paan-supari in the morning or evening so that it can be
given to Baba after lunch or dinner”. Then in the evening we were looking
for paan leaves and this person who had the last 10 paan beautifully cut
gave it us saying I don’t normally sell only leaves. Next day morning also we
forgot to carry the paan-supari while going for darshan at the Samadhi
mandir. Then I had a thought that we should do the offering at Dwarkamai.
We went back to the hotel bought the paan-supari and stood in the line for
darshan at Dwarkamai. There was lot of crowd and I was very skeptical if we
would make it for darshan before lunch is served to BABA. As I neared the
dhuni and Baba's photos (the place where Baba used to sit) a lady appeared
with a thali to give lunch to Baba. Till date I dont know how she managed to
come through that crowd without me noticing. I requested the guard to let
me go and offer the paan-supari. He told the lady to keep it on her plate and
offer it to BABA. She did it.

I spent some time there at BABA's feet when she was feeding him. I wanted
a bite (which I am still waiting for). However, now 2009 I am currently
staying with my husband at Delhi (He travels a lot and I would never get a
chance to travel with him).

Thank you BABA for listening to my prayers.

An Experience
By: Siddhant Shah

I was on a tour to Delhi for some office work and was travelling with my
family. There were a few disturbing instances at my work place which made
me very restless and full of anxiety. In those moments I could not think of
anybody but Baba and his grace to carry me through these difficult times.

For some reason or the other I have a feeling that some of my colleagues
were trying to play some politics with me. I knew for certain that in the
week I would get a communication from my office that my services were no
longer required for the project. Knowing this fully, I resolved in my mind
that once I return back to my home town (Mumbai), me and my family
would take a trip to Shirdi. What happened next completely
overwhelmed me. One day after my bath I sat to read
Sai Satcharita. I could not believe my eyes, that I was
reading exactly that chapter that has got a picture of
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 18

Baba's murti at Shirdi, I couldn’t believe my eyes, all that came out from
deep with was one word BABA. It was really a miracle that as soon as I had
resolved to go to Shirdi, Baba appeared in front of me in the form of his
picture, and I was fortunate to take his darshan.

Baba’s chamatkar for me

By: Anita Srivastava

I would like to share Sai’s Chamatkar (miracle) which I experienced recently.

Last month I applied for a job for which my skills and experience were very
well suited and at the time of filling the application I was very confident that
I may get the job as I fitted in with every criterion stated in the job advert.
My confidence was boosted further when my application was shortlisted and
I was invited for the interview. I was very keen on this job and very much
hoped to get it; this job would have raised my profile as a freelance project
manager in the sector I work.

However on the day of the interview I wasn’t feeling very well and felt a bit
nervous. I answered the interview OK but not as well as I could. I thought I
could have explained some of the questions asked in the interview with more
details. I knew the answers but perhaps I didn’t articulate them as well. I
came home feeling disappointed. I was told by the interview panelist that I
would be informed of the outcome by the end of the week. My interview was
held on Monday and I was told to expect the outcome on Friday. On Monday
evening, I called up one of the panelist who I knew personally (as I had
worked with this person on another project) to get a feedback on my
interview and to find out how the other interviews went. I was disheartened
when she confirmed my fear that I did not score all that well in the interview
and that some of the other candidates had done better and scored more
marks than me. I was really sad that evening and thought I had let myself
and my husband down who is very supportive and is my friend and mentor.
My husband also felt sorry for me but we did not discuss much about it that
evening and carried on with our chores. Since I was feeling very restless in
my heart and mind, I decided to chat with Sai Baba, I always do that when I
feel like this. So I visited Sai’s web-site where you write your questions and
Baba answers them www.shirdi-sai-Baba.com/ . I wrote to Baba regarding
my interview and that I was feeling sad that despite of knowing that I could
do the job well, I wasn’t going to get it just because I hadn’t
answered the interview well. Sai Baba’s answer was,
“donate a white Dhoti to a priest, Sainath will always
be with you and you will succeed in everything you
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 20

do.” I thought how can this be possible when I know the interview did not go
all that well and especially when this was confirmed by one of the panelist.
Anyway I thought I will follow Sai Baba’s instructions. So I told my sister
who lives in Goa to buy a white Dhoti and give it to a priest since it was not
possible for me to do so as I live in the UK. My sister was very kind, she said
she needed to go out for some work that morning and offered to buy the
white Dhoti and give it to the priest near her house that afternoon. She
called me to tell that she had done my work which I had requested without
asking why I had asked her to do this. I was very thankful to her. The same
evening I received a call from the Company where I had answered the
interview the previous day. I missed the call so I tried to call them back but

didn’t get the person on line. I was almost sure that they were calling to say
that I had not been successful in the interview. I was still very down and
nervous. This person called again the same evening around 6:30 to say that
they were delighted to offer me the job as I was one of the best candidates.
I could not believe my ears and what I was hearing. I was extremely
delighted and over the moon. I went and told the good news to my husband
who was very happy for me. I then told him about me visiting Shirdi Sai
Baba website and the experience I went through. He was
stunned! What else could I call this apart from Sai
Baba’s Chamatkar (miracle)!
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 21

My message to all Sai Baba bhakt (followers) is to have faith in Baba, think
of him day and night and he will always be there by your side!

Thank you Sai Baba !!! And thank you SAMARPAN Team for allowing me to
share this great experience with you and others.

Baba blessed me with son

By: Manjula Budhwar

I presently live in Toronto, Canada (originally from Nairobi, Kenya). I would

like to share two of the many experiences when Sai Baba has deeply
touched my life.

In 1988, after unsuccessful fertility treatments in Nairobi, I went to London,

England for GIFT/IVF fertility treatment procedure. The first round of
treatment was unsuccessful. While waiting for further treatment, I visited a
huge Sai Mandir with my Uncle and Aunt. This mandir was in a devotee’s
family home near London, which had been founded by this family. We were
told that their son, whose eyesight was initially fine, gradually lost his vision
and went totally blind. His family took him to Sai Baba's temple in
Puttaparthi, India and he regained his eyesight slowly by Baba's grace. He
now made beautiful murtis at the Mandir. The family was explaining that
just before their son lost his eyesight, a huge Ambajee murti, which they all
worshiped, broke with many cracks. After he regained his eyesight, he
repaired that murti first, which looked flawless and was placed in the centre
of the Mandir. We were drawn to Sai Baba at that very instant. At this
mandir, I was given vibhuti and Shirdi Sai's picture, which I carry with me at
all times till today. I prayed everyday that my treatment would work out.
Just before I called the Hospital to check on my pregnancy results, I took
some vibhuti and prayed to Sai Baba. When I phoned the hospital, I was
told that my treatment had worked out and that the pregnancy result was
positive! The doctor and the unit staff were equally excited about my
positive result. Later, the doctor in London, wrote to my doctor in Nairobi.
His letter stated that this was going to be a "miracle" baby, as he and his
team had had no hope of success in my case. By Baba’s grace, I was
blessed with a son on April 24, 1989.
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 23

In May, 1991, when I was expecting my second child I had a dream, which I
felt was very realistic. I dreamt that I was sitting in a satsang in Shirdi (I
have never been there). After the satsang, Shirdi Sai Baba blessed me with
a flower and said that I was going to have a baby boy. In my dream, after
Baba left, I bought silver murti of Baba from just within the place where the
satsang had been held. On November 19, 1991, I was blessed with my
second son! At the time, my friend, who had then recently been to India,
visited me in the hospital. When I went home from the hospital, my
mother-in-law mentioned that my friend had left a gift she had brought for
me from India – it was the exact silver murti of Sai Baba that I had seen in

my dream! I had earlier requested her to bring for me a clay murti of Sai
Baba, but she decided on getting the silver one, as it was easier to bring
back from India. My faith in Sai Baba has grown stronger over the years.

Rich by Sai’s experiences

By: N. Sathiya Narayanan

I come from a middle class family. But our family is one of the richest people
in terms of Baba’s Blessings. We experienced lot of miracles from Baba. My
father is R. Nagarajan, who is best human being in the world and my role
model. He did and doing lot to helps to the poor people in the villages and
“ANANTHANAM” along with his father for about 45 years.

Three years before my father was affected by liver cerosis and advised to
undergo liver transplantation. Our family was quite worried about this, and
prayed Baba each and every minute. The operation cost was fifteen lakhs.
But Baba blessed our family; Baba provided a good conditioned liver for my
father from other great human who was a brain dead person. Then Baba did
the seventeen hours long operation through the doctors. With Baba’s
blessings my father is now healthy and continues his sevas to Baba and
helping the poor people.

We pray our believe Baba to keep each and every one in His view and bless
us.

My Dear Son You and Me Are

One
By: Manoj Sharma

In year 2003, I along with my family visited Puttaparthi to have darshan of

Shri Satya Sai Baba. At Puttaparthi there is a museum named Chaitanya
jyoti. At Chaitanya jyoti I got chance to see old palanquin and other

belongings of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba. While passing through a gallery, I heard
an audio record saying repeatedly in English “My dear son you and me are
one”.

I asked one of the caretakers to check that audio playing device and play
some devotional songs, but he told me that this record is appropriate to be
played here. After having darshan of Shri Satya Sai Baba, I
along with my family boarded train for Chandigarh. Next
day (At around 10am), train halted at some station in
South India. A team of beggars entered in my
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 26

compartment and started begging. One of them approached me and

following conversation took place in Hindi:-

Beggar: Please give some money

Myself: You seem to be young and physically fit why you don’t do some work
Beggar: You seem to be well off, why you cannot donate me some money
Myself: I will not waste my money to encourage begging
Beggar: Please give some money (Beggar now started touching my arm
repeatedly)

I got annoyed , closed my eyes and folded my hands in front of beggar so

that he may excuse me ( But in my heart I prayed to Baba like this…”Dear
Baba why you are annoying me”) To my disbelief, beggar put both of his
hands on top of my head and said in fluent English “My dear son you and me
are one.”(The sound was exactly same which I heard on audio record saying
repeatedly in English “My dear son you and me are one” inside gallery at
Chaitanya Jyoti (Puttaparthi). A wave of thrill swept throughout my body,
raising hairs of my arms and legs.

My devotion suddenly elevated and I removed Rs 50/- note from my purse

and offered it to beggar. Beggar (Started speaking again in Hindi): Keep
your money with you I don’t need your money.
Myself: Please take it.

Beggar started running towards next compartment of train I started

following him with Rs 50/- in my hand. Suddenly I found no t race of beggar
as if he had disappeared.

I returned to my compartment and got lost in the words” My dear son you
and me are one” for which I finally understood the real meaning as directly
conveyed to me by none other than Baba. From then onwards I started
living in this awareness that “All are one” which resulted in conclusion that
Baba(God) is living in hearts of all of us and he is aware of what we think
,then beyond doubt he is also keeping account of our deeds ,henceforth law
of karma is eternal truth. So be good and do good.

An Experience
By: Ekta Sabharwal

This incident happened to me about 2 years back. My 12 year old son was
suffering with 104-5 degree fever and cold as well as cough. He was
continuously vomiting because of high fever and cough. My mother gave him
some biscuits so that some medicine could be given to him. I was trying to
keep the temperature down by using cold water strips but fever did not
come down even a degree. After half an hour we gave him the medicine but
within 15-20 minutes, he again vomited. Now, I was not able to give him the
medicines again as I was not sure whether the medicine has come out by
way of vomit or not. I started praying to Baba to save my son’s life.
Suddenly Vibhuti came to my mind and I gave some Vibhuti with some
water to my son. With the grace of Baba, within 15 minutes of taking
Vibhuti, fever got down to 101 degree and vomit also stopped. I thanked
Baba for his grace and timely help. It is his blessings that the life of my son
has been saved. I pray to Baba that he may shower his blessings to all.

My Experience with Baba

By: Saptarshee Bhattacharjee

My experiences with Shirdi Sai Baba are quite interesting. My family is

having a very religious ambience with regular worship and other related
activities. I just want to narrate the experience I had undergone when I was
a child of around 11-12 years. As we were brought up in a religious family,
the bond of devotion towards God was always present.

It was an ordinary evening; I was just relaxing in the room where a statue
of Krishna and Radha was present. Without any intention, my glance went
towards the idols that were lying there since long. Just then, I don’t know, it
was a complete miracle, I saw a holy man having red turban and showing
Baradhasta (giving boons) with this hand and a sweet smile on his face on
the chest of Sri Krishna. I was just dumb founded, as it was completely real
and was no dream. It was a very bright light and remained
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 29

for just a few moments. Later on in my life, I came to know that the person
I saw on the chest of Lord Krishna was no other than our beloved Shi rdi Sai
Baba.

Now I am working in a government institution and due to some official works

I was a bit restless. Meanwhile, we went to Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir situated
at Byrni, Assam and prayed Baba for granting peace. It was unbelievable,
the next morning when I went to office, that official matter was settled and I
felt the much required peace which I begged from Baba. Our whole family
has become ardent devotees of Baba and I wish and pray Shirdi Sai Baba to
shower his love and blessings to us in each and every moment of our lives.

Baba Always Listens, We

should have a way to Pray
By: Anju Kapoor

I have a lot of experiences in my life in which I felt the Baba is always with
me. But, there is a one incident which I cannot forget because that was my
first experience.

In 1998, I went Shi rdi for Baba’s darshan, as I was very happy because this
was the first time, I was going Shirdi. On the day, when we reached we had
not gone to “Smadhi Mandir”. Next day for “Kakar Arti” we leave our room
by 1.45 am. I was accompanied by two ladies. The persons, who had gone
with us Shirdi, didn’t come with us for “Kakar Arti”. So in the room in which
we were staying, there were 4 children who were sleeping in the room. We
locked them and left for Arti. I put the keys in my hand purse. At that time
there was a big hall in which we have to wait for going to the main hall. As
we were so early, that’s why we were sitting in the front rows. As soon as
the main hall opened, we ran for darshan.

We went and have our seat in the main hall. As soon as “Kakar Arti” started,
I found that I have lost my hand purse. I was very much depressed. The
main stress in my mind was that the children are locked and the keys are
there in the purse. How I will be able to face the mothers who were with me
at that time. I started cry and told the ladies that I have lost the purse.
Everybody who was sitting in the hall, were praying that “Bada, please wake
up and give us darshan” but I was praying that “Baba, please wake up and
search my purse”. I was continuously praying and suddenly a lady sitting in
the backside called me and asked “is it your purse?” I was surprised and
could not understand how it happened. I really thanked Baba from the core
of my heart. After coming back from Shirdi, I told this experience to my
parents, my friends, each & every person. From that day,
whenever, I feel that I must talk to Baba, I used to talk
to Baba and Baba also listens and gives me the
solutions of my problems.

Baba helps me getting a new

job
By: Bhumeshwar Gawhare

First of all I would like to give thanks to Sri Sai Baba that, he has given an
opportunity to me to write this.

From a long time, I was wondering that I send my incident for publishing in
Samarpan magazine but it could not happen. It is Baba’s wish. After a long
time, from the Baba’s aspiration, right time has been got nearer to share my
incident to all the readers of Samarpan magazine.

In the year of 2007, when I was working in Bhopal (MP), everything was
going on fine but all of sudden my transfer letter has been prepared by my
senior officers and they were pressurizing me to move from there but I did
not want to move, finally they had told me that you have to shift otherwise
you will have to leave the job. Without thinking anything I told them, I am
leaving the job right now and gave the resignation. I had been relieved from
the job. I did not have any new job in my hand, only I had given an
interview and I had trust on Sri Sai Baba. Days were passing away but my
ears were unable to hear the voice of interviewer.

One day when I was going to meet an astrologer and thinking about the
Baba, my mobile rang up, I picked the call, from other side somebody was
saying that, “I am calling from so and so company, you had an interview
with our executives, our HR executives want to meet you on so and so date,
please make an arrangement to available yourself on said date”. I said OK
and gave the thanks to Sai Baba. When I met to astrologer and said the
above conversation, he replied with a cheerful expression, don’t worry you
would get success and your salary would be in between so and so figure.
You won’t accept as true that finally I got the same figure which
was said by astrologer. I believe that, in the form of
astrologer Sri Sai Baba was present there and giving
support to me.
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 32

According to telephonic discussion with the recruiters, on said date I went

for meeting with the HR executives and head of the department. Final
interview and everything like, joining date and salary structures have been
set. I had to join the company within a week. I came back from there and
waiting for joining letter. 4 days have been ended but joining letter has not
been received. Next day was an occasion of “Rang –Panchami” and declared
as local holiday. I had got disappointed and thought, what would happen if I
did not receive the joining letter because after “Rang –Panchami” I had to
join? I had only one day for receiving the letter. I was praying to Sri Sai
Baba to lend a hand to me and roaming here and there in the courtyard,
suddenly one miracle happened, I was waiting for courier boy, one person
came and was going to my house owner’s door, I asked him, for what you
are going, he told I have a courier for Mr. Bhumeshwar Gawhare, I told him
that myself Bhumeshwar Gawhare please give me this, while giving the
courier he was saying to me sir “I was trying your contact number from
morning but nobody was lifting the call”, I checked the number and found
that he was trying my younger brother’s cell number, when I called my
brother he told me that “I was sleeping because l did night shift last day
that’s why I could not pick the cell phone”. Baba himself was coming on my
door for giving the courier in the form of courier boy and from that day my
faith on Sai Baba has been more rigid.

My heartiest thanks to Sai Baba for helping me.

Vamana Avatar - Story

By: Revathy Ramkumar

In the Baghvath Gita Lord krishna says, “whenever righteousness declines

and unrighteousness becomes powerful then I myself come to birth. For the
protection of good, for the destruction of evil doers, for the sake of firmly
establishing righteousness, I am born from age to age." One of the Lord's
avatars was the Vamana avatar where he comes as a Brahmin boy to
humble Bali Chakravarthy.

Bali was the son of Veerochana and Devamba, grandson of Bhakta

Prahaladha, son of demon king Hiranyakashyap who was slayed by Vishnu in
his 'Narasimha Avatar'.Though Mahabali was an Asura King he was
benevolent and a judicious ruler. There was no sorrow, poverty, disease or
untimely death in his kingdom. His bravery and strength of character earned
him the title “Mahabali Chakravarthy” - the King of Kings. He married
Vindyavalli and was a great Bhakta of Lord Vishnu.

Though he was an able king he was very proud, and soon his fame as an
able king spread far and wide. Gods began to fear that he might become the
King of Devas. They pleaded with Lord Vishnu to curtail Mahabali’s powers
and pride. Lord Vishnu takes the form of a small Brahmin boy (a dwarf)
'Vamana' and comes to Mahabali's kingdom and asks the king for three
steps of land. The King laughs loud and tells the small brahmin boy that he
was ready to give him a whole village and it is not right for the Brahmin to
ask for just three paces of land from a wealthy and mighty King as
him."Vamana however insists only on the three paces of land and Mahabali
grants the Brahmin boy the three steps of land. Mahabali's guru
Shukracharya realises that the Brahmanin boy is none other than Lord
Vishnu himself, cautions the king and tells him not to grant the three paces
of land. The King however has given his word and says he cannot go back on
his word. He asks the Brahmin to take the three paces of
land, and the next moment Vamana began to grow and
expand. With his first step he covered the whole earth,
the entire cosmos with the second step and asked
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 34

Mahabali where to keep his third foot. King Mahabali realised that this was
no ordinary Brahmin, surrendered and offered his head for the lord to place
his feet. Lord Vamana places his feet on Mahabali's head and he is pushed to
Patala lok, the king requests the Lord to reveal his true form and the Lord
appears as Vishnu and shows the King his true form.

Vishnu takes the vamana avatar to humble the pride of king Mahabali. There
is also a belief that Mahabali ruled over the region which is now known as
Kerala. The festival of Onam is celebrated all over Kerala during the
Malyalam month Chingam (August-September),to commemorate the
homecoming of King Mahabali. It is believed that before Lord Vishnu pushed

the King to patala loka he granted him a wish that once every year he could
return to his Kingdom and his people and also that he would always be loved
by his people.

Even today Onam is celebrated by the people of Kerala in a very grand scale
for ten days, to assure their king when he visits them on the tenth day
"Tiruvonam", the important day of the ten day festival, that they are still
leading prosperous and happy lives. The most important
part of the festival is the 'Onasadya', the lavish meal
which is prepared in every household on the
'Tiruonam'day.

Saint Ekanath – A story

By: Revathy Ramkumar

Santh Eknath was among the very famous saints born in Paithan on the
banks of the Godavari River around 1533. His parents passed away while he
was just three years and he was brought up by his grand parents. His guru
was Janardhan Swami and that is probably why we find in all his Abhangs
and writings "Eka Janardana" (Eknath of Janardan) as his signature .Saint
Ekanath was indeed remarkable example of a man who blended worldly life
and spiritual attainments. He lived in the world but was not of it. He was
among the greatest writers and his abhangs are popular. His most important
work however is the Eknathi Baghwath which is his commentary on Skanda
XI of Srimad Baghawath puran which deals with the dialogue between
Krishna and Uddhava.

One particular incident from the saint’s life is what I wish to write here.....

Santh Ekanath used to go and have a holy dip in the Godavari river every
morning before he started his daily routine of reading the baghawath puran
and Baghavad Gita and performing pooja to the idols of Vithal and Rukmini
given by his guru Janardan Swami. In the neighborhood there lived a group
of vagabonds who regularly met for gambling. One day one of them was late
and when the others questioned him he said he went to pay his respects to
Sath Ekanath and that is why he was late. His friends made fun of him and
mockingly asked him what was so special about Ekanath that he decided to
fall at his feet.

The man replied Sri Ekanath never loses his temper under any
circumstances and that is what makes him so special and different!!Their
conversation went on like this for a while and it took a serious turn when
one of them challenged that he would make Ekanath angry and prove that
he is no different from others. He also said he would accomplish this the
very next day. The next morning Ekanath goes to the
Godavari river for a dip. On his return this man was
waiting on the roof top with his mouth full with
chewed betel leaves. Sant Ekanath felt something
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 36

wet fall on his shoulder, he looked up and without losing his composure he
went back to the Godavari and had another bath. The man who spat on him
was surprised but Sant Ekanath showed no sign of any surprise. This went
on till noon, the man spitting on Sant Ekanath and every time Ekanath
swami would go to the Godavari and clean himself and return back and walk
towards the temple. The man was indeed bewildered at Sant Ekanath's
patience. While his jaws were aching chewing the betel leaves and spitting
Sant Ekanath was as fresh as he was when he came early morning.

The man ashamed and guilty of his behavior rushed down and fell at Sant

Ekanath's feet. Swami Eknath with compassion and full of love blessed him.
The man asked Swami Ekanath "Swami how is it possible for you to be like
this?"Sant Ekanath replied... "Brother if you can be so stubborn to this vice
of harassing saints, it isn't the least surprising that I should on my part sick
to my virtue of not losing my temper."I am on the way to the temple to offer
my prayers to the Lord, the dirt on my body can be easily cleansed by a dip
in the river, but if I let anger enter my mind then no amount of
bathing in any river can cleanse me of the impurity.
Worshipping with an impure mind would not bear any
fruit, so how can I ever afford to lose my temper??
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 37

"So saying Sant Ekanath walked his way to the temple.

Such a great man was Swami Ekanath. Whenever we get angry at all the
silly and little things that we face it would do us a lot of good to remember
this story of Swami Ekanath so that we can regain our composure.

Jai Gurudev.

Sai Baba blessed my friends.

By: Samir Patil

My friends and I are Sai devotees. We visit Shirdi every year along with the
Sai Palkhi Padyatra from our village. In 2008, we had just returned from
Shirdi and after two days, on 26 December two of my friends got badly
injured in a bike accident. Their bike collided with a four wheeler and they
fell down on the road. The two friends, Manoj and Subhash were badly
injured. Subhash’s right hand and right foot was broken while Manoj went
into coma. They were admitted to hospital and Subhash was operated on
while doctors were not sure if Manoj would be normal again. Even after four
days, Manoj was not responding to any treatment. On fifth day Manoj
opened his eyes, however he could not recognize any person. For a month
prayers went on continuously by the worried relatives, native villagers,
friends and everyone who knew my friends. After few days, as if my magic,
memory of Manoj returned and he could recognize everyone around him.
The prayers to Sai Baba had done the required wonder. After a period of
eight months, Manoj was able to speak well and could walk with support. We
are thankful to Baba that the near fatal accident was averted by the grace of
Baba and then unimaginable recovery by grace of Baba. Sai Baba is always
with his devotees. “Shradha Saburi ichha puri”.

Awaiting Baba’s grace

By: K P Jajodia

I am a devotee of Bhagwan Shree Ram Sita & Hanumanji from last 25 years.
Since last one year, I am seeing the serial of Sai Baba broadcasting on Star
Plus which impresses me very deeply. In the serial Baba”s speeches &
dialogs and updesh are as per Gita and other Religious Books. His helps to
his devotees are miracles. So, gradually I got involved in Sai Baba Bhakti.

I am facing financial losses since last 1st February 1995 which, is increasing
gradually. Due to depression & anxiety I have become very helpless and also
facing mental & physical set back. In year 2005 my spinal code’s bone had
increased at C-5, C-6, C-7 level and doctors advised me to operate it. So, I
have to compel to go C. M.C. Vellore and get surgery. But before & after
surgery I have severe legs & abdomen pain and pain remains all times,
which cannot be reduced till today. The opinion of NIMHANS Hospital,
Bangalore is that it is an incurable disease. Due to this pain I cannot sit,
stand and walk properly. Day by day routine works have become very hard
for me. I can’t do my business properly and cannot involve myself in new
sources of income.

Here is a new builds Sai Baba Temple like Shirdi at BARNIHAT near Guwahati
(Assam). The founder of temple Mr. R M Deka is looks like Sai Baba. His
behaviors are like Sai Baba and blessings are like Sai Baba. He also
represents the Sai Baba at present. He impressed devotees like Sai Baba.

One day on my wedding Anniversary I helloed Baba to bless us on that day

but he replied that on30/06/2008, I would not go to temple so; he invited us
at his home. We both went to Baba’s home and Baba asked about our life
and sorrows. He respected us like an honorable person with sweets etc.

On that day Mr. R M Deka (The Sai Baba) gave us a (idol) Murti of Sai Baba
and advised us to establish it in our home and tender Pray
and Prasad daily to Murti of Sai Baba. So, I have become
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 40

devotee of Sai Baba. I am also chanting Ashtotarnam Stotra with my guru’s

way of worship irregularly due to legs pain.

But till today I have not received any grace of Baba and my problems are as
it earlier. So I seek help from all Baba devotee and the Editor of Magazine to
guide me and teach me some lesson , which improve my devotion to Baba
and resolve my financial & health problems at my email ID
kpjajodia@gmail.com or though magazine or post.

Baba is great and Guides us

the right way
By: Kinari Patel

Before I tell you about one of many experiences I have had with our loving
Baba I would like to share with you how I became so close to him. At a very
young age I believed in Baba but not as much as I have during the past 6
years, Baba first appeared to me in a dream when I was around 16, where
he came out of the water and gave me his blessings, even then I believed in
him but not as much as now. Baba is like a breath of fresh air; he so loving
and has always been by my side to guide me whether it be through other
people or just mere dreams and signs.

For many years I prayed by doing a Diya (lighting of clay lamp) twice a day
and recently well for the last 6-7 months I started using scented tea candles,
I believe Baba does not require a flower as an offering, a prayer from the
heart is sufficient. About a month ago I lit a tea candle and realized I have
only a few of them left with me. While I was thinking this I also said to
myself I have oil and the divat which lights the diya why am I being lazy.
Anyway I lit the tea candle and went downstairs. I have Baba & Mataji on
my little cupboard; I also have a temple inside the cupboard. When I came
back upstairs my cupboard door was open and when I looked into the plastic
bag which has the divats in them; they were on my bed on the other side. I
was rather confused by this as I didn’t open the cupboard and I did not put
the bag there, I called my boyfriend to ask him and he just looked at me and
was freaking out. He is muslim but he respects the fact that I believe in
Baba and he knows how much Baba means to me. At first I was scared then
I laughed because Baba was playing a joke on me, Baba is trying to tell me
why waste money on tea candles when you have oil and divat. My boyfriend
also suggested that Baba is trying to tell me something.
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 42

Any way that day I was meant to watch Sai Baba serial and I tried not to
think about it as I thought Baba is angry with me for not lighting the diya
with oil. As I started watching the serial I could not believe what I was
watching, the episode was about lighting a diya with oil and having shradha
and saburi as it goes straight to Baba’s heart. Right then I knew it was Baba
who made the plastic bag with divats fly across from the cupboard onto my
bed so I stop wasting money on tea candles and light the diya with oil. The
episode explained a lot and I felt happy that Baba made me realize that.
Baba is so much loving and without him I would not be here and I’m sure it
goes for every Devotee of Baba. Baba is a big part of my life and lives in our
hearts. Every heart beat chants ‘Sai Sai’.

I love you Baba and I know you know that. Bless everyone with happiness
and guide them through this time of Kalyug. Thank you Baba for everything
you have done for me, my friends and family and I know you will continue to
bless us forever. We are so grateful that you are here amongst us. Thank
you for being our Best friend, Papa, Mai and above all our well wisher who
only wants all of us to be happy. Love you, Baba.

Baba cures my son

By: Gayathri Nandigam

Hi Editor, thank you very much for this wonderful forum, I would like to
share my experience here:

We are staying in Pune, last Aug 13th I felt body pain and little throat
infection, as I had caught cold. The next day I felt feverish. My husband was
supposed to go to Hyderabad on the same day as he had got 10 days
holidays. But he cancelled the tour as I was not well. That day I slept well
and next day early morning I got this dream:

We both quarreled with each other and my husband told me that he wanted
to give divorce to me. I just stayed silent and did not speak to him in the
dream. Finally he came to me and told that he will never utter the word
divorce again and he will not start a quarrel again. He also said that we will
do Parayan together and everything will be alright"

I expressed my dream to him especially about Parayan (Guru charitra) but

he took it very lightly. That day I didn't go to office and when I visited a
doctor he said that it was just viral fever. But due to my sickness he worried
a lot and my mom and sisters were crying and insisted us to come to
Hyderabad because everyone was afraid of swine flu. Finally we went to
Hyderabad. Meanwhile, my son was also not well. We took him to church
hospital at Ameerpet. I was fine however my son was suffering from fever,
cold, and cough. That night he was unable to sleep due to continuous cough.
The whole night we prayed to Baba and my mother prayed to Yesu a lot.
Next day we took him to children hospital called Rainbow. The doctor
advised for Swine flu tests apart from other tests which were performed
there.

I told my husband about that dream and said that he was

taking this lightly. When I questioned Baba about his
health he gave answer to me as "Don't test honored
people, do based on your dreams". (Editor’s note:
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 44

Gayathriji probably used a book of questions and answers or some website

for seeking answer to her question). I insisted my husband for doing
parayan together. Finally with our prayan and my mother’s visit to Muttangi
Kakani, my son slept well that day and recovered the next day. Medicines
help in their own ways, however Sai’s grace is beyond reasoning and I
believe that Sai cured my son.

Love marriage or arrange

marriage
By: Nidhi singh

Till the age of 21 I didn’t know anything about Baba. I was in 2nd year of
Engineering and I used to love one boy who was not of my religion. I used to
love him like crazy and sometimes I worshipped him also. I use to think that
one day surely I will get him. Every prayer I use to ask God to give me my
Love, because I knew my family will never agree to it.

One night in my dreams first time I saw Baba. He was sitting on a rock
inside a cave. To my surprise he was not wearing anything. When I went
inside I asked him, “Baba will I have a love marriage or an arranged
marriage?".

He told me that it will be an arranged marriage. I shouted and said, "No!

This cannot be possible!" and ran away from that place.

Next day I was very confused on what I saw in my dream. From that day
started to worship Baba. Till recently I used to pray for getting my love.
However, as Baba said, I got married to some other person arranged by my
parents. Sometimes Baba knows what is better for us. It is important to
keep faith in Baba every moment.

I believe Baba appeared as a

bird
By: Namita Das

JAY SAI RAM!

I am going to narrate my recent experience with Shirdi Baba. So many

people in India are experiencing Baba coming to their house as a fakir
(beggar). I used to wonder how we can see Baba here in USA. We don't see
any fakir here. It was Thursday and I did my usual noon arati. I was eating
prasad then I heard some tapping noise on my window. When I looked at
the window, could not believe in my eye what I saw, a very beautiful yellow
bird is tapping on my window. I had never seen such a beautiful bird in my
life. I was looking at the bird and enjoying her beauty. Suddenly it flew away
and I felt bad, but again it came and tap on my puja room window. I saw
this beautiful bird and suddenly thought this must be Sai coming to my
house as a bird. As soon as I did a Namaskar, it flew away. I have not seen
that bird again.

I am pretty sure, that was my Shirdi Baba came to give me darsan. Please
have faith in HIM and surrender everything, all your desire will be fulfilled.

Baba is my father
By: Bhuvana S

This is one of my recent experiences. I am a firm believer of Shirdi Sai Baba

so I decided to keep fast for 7 days to clear my professional examination
which was really tough. I did fast and on the 7th day I wanted to go to
Baba's temple but couldn’t because I was to go to Tirupathi that day. But
when I was about to get into the bus to my amazement I saw a Shirdi Baba
idol

right next to me under a tree. A week after my exam I got my results and to
my amazement I had cleared my exam with a good percentage.

I also started reading “Satcharita” everyday and before even I could

complete it lot of good things happened like my engagement was fixed, my
mom was financially sound and I had great peace of mind. I call him "my
dad" every time I pray, he does everything which he thinks is good for me. I
very well know that he will take care of me and my family. All
he asks for is complete faith in him which a child has on
its parents. I love you Baba so much.

Karmic dues delivered

Hello everyone. I thought of sharing an interesting story with you. A few
weeks ago, my neighbors acquired a puppy. They were really cruel to it.
They used to tie it to a tree and it used to cry all night. The neighbors’ son
was really bad and many times I saw him slap the puppy. I hated him so
much. We couldn’t complain to the authorities as the neighbor would have
found out and would have done bad things to us. I prayed to Baba, not
really begging him, but asked him to take the puppy out of this situation. It
was just an innocent appeal.

Anyway one day, the neighbors’ son was outside, I don’t know what
happened, but he got into an argument with another older man. This old
man started to slap him on the head and beat him. He hit him just as he
neighbors’ son had hit that poor puppy.

I had noticed I had not seen that puppy from 2 days prior to this incident. I
was worried about where it was. After witnessing the neighbors’ son being
beaten, I saw this gentleman with the puppy walking him to the park. So the
neighbors’ son got his karmic dues, and I was also reassured that puppy was
in a safe secure loving home. You may call it coincidence, however I am sure
it was Baba’s blessing.

Baba’s blessings are always

there with me
By: Sudhakar

I am from Angola I am working as an accountant in Africa for almost six

years. I am a devotee of Sai Baba since my 10th class. With his great
blessings I have achieved everything in my life. Here I want to share a
recent miracle from him. I am staying in Luanda with my friends. In August
2009, I was reading sai “parayanam” book in my room. I don’t have Sai
Baba photo because I don’t like to shift the poja mandir where it was before
to my room. So when I used to read Sai Baba book daily I used to feel bad
as I did not have Sai Baba photo. One day one of my friends went on
vacation to India and when I went to my room after office, I found that there
was a photo opposite to my bed where I do daily Sai Parayanam. In my life
Sai Baba has showed me lots of miracles. This is the recent one: by his
blessing I am going to get married in November on a Thursday and my Life
Partner’s name is SrAvI (all the letters of SAI in it).

Love you Baba.

Forgive but do not Forget

By: Jyothsna Mahadevan

Life is a journey. Every good or bad situation we have been through is a mile
stone reached. Learning from our mistakes and celebrating our success is a
part of life. Remembering the bad experiences in our life and choosing not to
retaliate is most challenging task that has ever been placed before us. There
are several occasions when I have prayed to swami to punish my enemy,
even though I knew that this was a wrong kind of prayer. Praying to punish
someone is nothing but a form of revenge.

All it does is that it demolishes the beautiful relationship that I have with
swami. I soon realized that if I don't put an end to this, I might squander my
entire time and energy plotting on counter attack, leading to several
unhealthy thought and behavior. So as a corrective measure I chose to
forget and forgive.

I have always been under the impression that forgiving and forgetting go
hand in hand, so if I forget them, I forgive them and I was working so hard
on forgetting these "not so good" people in my life that I kind of started
hiding from them and forgetting them seemed practically impossible. The
problem seemed so elusive to me.

That’s when I happened to have this random conversation with my friend

and it gave me an aspiration to solve my ever so long problem. Her opinion
was Forgiving is not forgetting

Forgetting is running away from the problem you have faced so far and
forgiving is being prepared to face such similar situations and handle them
more smartly.

Swami says DO NOT RETALIATE TO PEOPLE WHO HURT YOU

whoever has committed a mistake would face the
consequences, by advising us to stay calm doesn’t mean
that swami would punish the person and pacify our

person and problems caused by them but forgive them and be prepared.
When we start practicing this, any encounter with that "not so good person"
whom we used to loath will be so easy that they will appear as any other
normal person to us, not with a ”I hate you" tag and our normal behavior
towards them would make them quizzical.

Inspiration behind book

By: Ranadheer Kumar

A wonderful miracle was established with the blessings of Sree Shiridi Sai.

This autumn, Thursday 23rd October 2008 early hours I suddenly woke up
from my sound sleep and saw His almighty Satguru Shree Shirdi Sai
appeared right in front of my eyes, for few moments I was speechless. I was
so happy to see his face with graceful smile on his face.

Later He directed me to write a book on his miracles experienced by his

devotees who are spread across continents and said and this will be The Life
Book of my devotees, a testimony of their trust in me and my promise to
them "You look to Me I Look to You". He further assured that who all reads
this book and believes that I am there shall experience many Miracles in
their own lives too and that they will one day contribute their Miracle to this
book to be published.

I am not sure whether it was real or my illusion. I was also contemplating

whether it's just an illusion or a truth. I prayed to Baba and said "if it is real
please bless me with your photograph or prasadam, so that I can overcome
this confusion. Around 11.45 am a priest came to my office and handed over
me a photograph of Baba & Shree Ramji. Here, I undoubtedly accepted the
fact that it was not an illusion but a message from God as a Life time
Opportunity to network with his beloved devotees.

Trust me, I did not know where to start and what to start, I was not at all
prepared for anything like this in my life.

As a first step towards his order I started a website (www.miraclesofsai.org)

to collect the miracles & experiences from Baba devotees and make a library
and then to compile a book to take his glory and showcase
how close Baba lives with his devotees. This Book is
going to be named as "THE MIRACLE BOOK".

My Mission is to take My Experience with GOD to all SHIRIDI SAI devotees

and request them to pass on this message to as many people as possible. I
request you to encourage & advise them to share their experiences with us
and help us compile The Miracle Book with Their Experience with God and
document it for future references which shall remain forever.

By sharing your experience with God shall help & inspire the individuals of
this society to believe that god exists and he can be experienced provided
you are will to experience him.

No sooner the book was ready by the grace of sai; it was launched on 6th
July evening at Shirdi in the presence of Shirdi Sai Baba temple at Shirdi.
Now this book is going to be launched in Telugu on 28th sep' 2009 and Tamil
in 1st Jan 2010. Everything looks still its dream for me. I wish and pray
Baba divine grace should always remain with us.

Sai’s infinite grace saves

children from comma
By: K Bharathi Bai

Once my mother was sick and she was admitted in ICU. While I was at the
hospital I saw two other women who were there with their children admitted
in ICU. I felt great pity and sympathy for them seeing the state of their
children, because I too have a little girl child. I cannot see other children in
pain, I can feel their pain too. The doctors had said that there was little hope
left for the two children as the virus had spread in their bodies and did the
damage. Somehow I felt the urge to give two photographs of Sai Baba to
their mothers and I gave them the photos and udi and asked them to keep
the photos beneath the pillows of the children. And to my pleasant surprise,
the parents also went to Shirdi Sai Baba temple, Malleshwaram, Bangalore
when I advised them to. I prayed inside to Baba to extend its blessings and
care to these children. One of the children was in comma for a period of
three weeks. However in time, both the children recovered. It is all due to
Sai’s grace. How kind and compassionate he is. Those who trust Sai are
always protected by Him. I request all of you to keep Shirdi Sai Baba’s
photos with you and give them to people who need it and thereby let others
to come into the fold of Sai. I always keep Sai’s photo beneath my
daughter’s pillow and she always sleeps peacefully. Om Sai Ram. May Sai
bless you all.

Baba helps me get my salary

and dues
Pankaj Rajwanshi

I have lot of faith in Sai Baba as he has done a lot for me and has always helped me.

This incident happened just last year, when I resigned from my last job. At the time of
resigning management had promised us that our dues would be paid as per rules within
2 months. All of sudden things started turning against me and management started
blaming me for making losses and bad debts for which actually I was not responsible. I
was in a fix at that time and could not see any way out. It had become difficult for me to
carry on with my new job even. I kept on fighting with the management for justice and
release my outstanding dues (Salary + PF) which came to around 1.2 Lakhs.

One fine day, all of sudden I made up my mind that if my outstanding amount is cleared,
I will visit Shirdi and offer one "chadar" to Sai Baba. After this, I started going to Sai
Baba Mandir every thursday by walking which was 7 Kms away from our office and also
I started lighting Diyas for 40 days every day.
To my surprise, from that day onwards things started changing, I started receiving
positive replies from previous management and finally 6th December 2008, I received
my pending salary amount, Leave Encashment and PF also, all to-gather and I was
delighted. By all my heart and soul first thing I did was thanked Sai Baba. And after that
as per my thinking I visited Shirdi on 05/02/2009 and offered one "chadar".

And as of now, I always pray Sai Baba, whenever I find myself in problem and Sai Baba
always helps me.
Sai Baba par vishwas karo, saare dukh door ho jaayenge, saari pareshaniya door ho
jaayengi.

Girish Mani
Jai Sainath

The experience I am sharing with you happened in the year 2000, My marriage
happened in year 1999, We went to Shirdi in Oct 2000, at that that time we did not have
any child. While entering SAMADHI Mandir when I and my wife bowed to SAI Samadhi,
I Just prayed him that next time we come with child. From October 2000 to July 2002,
though I was not in short of money or leave that time, I co uld not visit Shirdi. I
understood without my wife and child it won’t be possible. My wife delivered a boy on
31st December 2001; she came from Trivandrum with my son in the month of May
2002. In the month of July 2002 I went to PUNE and from there we went to SHIRDI and
got the BABA blessings. Again I wished that please allow me to come with my child on
his first birthday again that wish was fulfilled. As you all are aware 31st December due
to Christmas Vacation and other holidays SHIRDI is fully crowded and even hotels are
not vacant, but somehow we got a very good hotel which was not even expensive, We
had Baba blessings, I went to Dwarikamai at 4.45 before Kakad Aarti with my son on his
birthday, I was really surprised that there was no one at DWARIKAMAI. One old man
was cleaning the passage; he came and took my son to the place where Baba used to
sit (Baba Stone). I did not have any words to express my happiness. I once again
realized that Baba Baba fulfils the wishes of his devotees in numerous ways.

Two Stories
By: Ashish Kumar Srivastava

My name is Ashish Shrivastava. I live in Bangalore with my family. It was

13th of June, I was busy writing names of the invitees on my marriage
invitation cards, which was to happen on 29th of June in Jabalpur (M.P.).
Suddenly a thought flashed through my mind; why not go to Shirdi and
invite Baba for my marriage, by giving the invitation card personally. It was

an intense thought. All of a sudden I became desperate to somehow go to

Shirdi for the purpose. However, when I checked for the reservation in train,
to my disappointment, there were no seats available. However, I did not lose
hope and I was sure that Baba would definitely show me some path.

The next day morning at around 6 am, I was still asleep. Suddenly I woke
up with the ring of my mobile phone. It was my friend Ganesh. He said that
he is going to Shirdi tomorrow, and if I want to send some offering to Baba.
Lo!!! For a moment I thought that it’s a dream and I am
still not awake. I did not reply and kept mum as I was
awestruck. He asked me again the same question,
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 58

this time I came back to my senses and realized that Baba has finally
answered to my intense desire and he only has provided me this opportunity
to send the marriage invitation through Ganesh to him. It definitely could
not be a coincidence. Though, I could not personally go to Shirdi to invite
Baba, but my wish that the invitation card should reach Baba personally got
fulfilled. Only Baba knows what is best for his devotees. Thereafter, I gave
the card to my friend along with Rs.101 to be offered to Baba

Story 2. Around the same time (12th or 13th June), at my In-Law’s place in
Bhopal, my Father-in-Law (who also happened to be a very ardent devotee
of Baba) also had the same wish, going to Shirdi personally to invite the
Baba. Even, he tried his level best for the same, however, he also could not
make it. The same day evening, one of his subordinates came to his house
and said that Sir I am going to Shirdi and if he wishes to send something for
Baba. He was enthralled with Joy and with utmost reverence he gave him
the invitation card along with some dakshina.

The two incidents took place at two different places, without one being
aware of the other. Now see the most astonishing part of the whole story-
Both the invitation cards reached Baba on 17th of June (Friday) around the
same time.

Later, when we got to know about the whole story, some people praised
Baba for bestowing his grace upon us and some said that it’s a mere
coincidence, However, I once again affirmed to myself that Baba is always
with us and we are always under his command. I thanked him again and
again with my heart full of gratitude and love.

After my marriage, we visited Shirdi and took Baba’s darshan. Our eyes got
filled with the tears of joy and we prayed him to be always with us and keep
on showering his grace and guiding us on the right path.

Now, I leave it on the readers to decide, if they think that it was really a
coincidence or it was Baba’s Leela.

Feeding puppies solved my

problem
By: Girish

In the year 2007 my wife had an issue and I requested SAI that my wife
should deliver a healthy girl child. The day she was hospitalized in pain, I
was in office and I got a phone call that Ranjeeta my wife is admitted as she
is having pain. I visited the hospital and was there for half an hour and
again left for office, while going to office I saw a signboard SAI MAA on two
to three occasion and I realized that my wife will definitely deliver a girl
child and I took the decision that child name would be shraddha. It came out
to be true and my delivered a girl child. After Delivery I was bit disappointed
as my daughter was not getting enough feeding. Even the maid who used to
come for massaging and bathing of my child said that my wife has less milk
to feed so I should buy lactogen to feed baby. I just prayed to Baba that my
child gets mother’s milk without any problem so that she becomes healthy.
There was a dog with puppies in the street outside. I felt that if I feed those
puppies with milk, my wish would be definitely fulfilled. I did that. After few
days my wife was able to feed my child and even today after two years she
is feeding her. It is all Baba's Grace.

Spiritual Experience with Sai

Baba
By: Molly

I am Molly Badgel from Jaipur, Rajasthan. I share here one of my

experiences. I believe in Sai Baba from last 3 years. I never forget the day

when one of my colleagues told me that she was going to visit a nearby Sai
Baba temple. I always listened from her that she used to visit the temple on
Thursdays. That day we both took the permission from our senior to visit the
Sai Baba temple. I had heard from many people that if you are feeling very
bad and have many tensions and problems, a visit to Sai Baba can solve the
problems.

After that day I used to visit the Sai Baba mandir

everyday as it’s on my way to my office. I had faced
many challenges in my life; I had to resign from my
Samarpan | Sep 2009 | 61

office due to my boss’s bad behavior. The day I left office I told my boss that
soon he would be kicked out of the place. After 3 days I came to hear that
the boss has been removed from his post as he had done some fraud.

I believe in fate. I worked for a year in Ericsson and that was a very good
experience for me. After the job, I felt Sai Baba had deserted me. I had
many questions without answers. I cried to Baba without any answer. I
stopped going to Baba’s temple. However, I found the answers soon
miraculously.

I am facing many challenges in my life and I know Baba is with me. I met a
person with whom I had studied in my school. I had no contacts with my
friend from last six years. Suddenly I met him and the life changed.

I started liking the things which I did not like earlier and in a way I started
living life more enthusiastically. Few days back I was weeping on my bed
and didn’t know when I felt asleep. The next morning when I woke up I
remembered the words that someone had told me: “plz meri jo statue desk
pe hai use saaf karo gangajal se wo bahut gandi ho gayi hai”. I told my
mother and she asked me to do it as soon as possible.

It was Thursday and in the morning I reached the Sai Baba temple. The
priest there said that the people present there would get the opportunity to
bathe the statue of Baba. I could not believe it. It was like dream coming to
true for me. After doing this, I reached home and cleaned the statue of Baba
at my house with Ganga jal. My faith has grown stronger from that day
onwards. I wish to visit Shirdi with my parents sometime.

I read the whole Samarpan magazine – July edition and I wished that I get
the chance to write my experience and today on 25 Aug,09 I told Baba that I
would keep fast till I didn’t get my wish come true. I will eat one time and as
I reached office I saw this mail.

This is one of my experiences with Sai Baba and every Thursday I visit Sai
Baba mandir. I remember the eleven promises of Sai Baba and
will share more experiences in time. I pray to Baba to
fulfill your wishes.

5. Please do not use font size greater than 12. An article with more
than one font will be rejected. Sometimes we have received articles
where each paragraph is of different font. Please do not do this. Use
same font while typing.
6. Please do not use short forms (SMS style of writing)
• Write “you” and not “u”
• Write “because” and not “becoz”
• Write “and” and not “n”
• Please use full stop “.” and not “….”
7. You need to do a spell check before you submit the article and this
will help you correct most of the mistakes.
8. Please do not use fancy fonts while typing. Use basic fonts like
“Arial”, “Times new roman” etc.

Finally please take the above guidelines sportingly. These are not
commandments, just guidelines. When you write an article, treat this as an
offering to Baba. Work to improve the article, be careful in writing. That’s it.
We expect a little bit of sincerity on your part and nothing else. We love
working on the magazine and expect your help. Sometimes the
articles are so carelessly written that rewriting one article
takes an hour or more. You can easily imagine our
plight when we have to go through hundreds of

you understand.
