1. Review of material test certificate, quality assurance plan, project specification and approved WPS.

2. Checking of welding Consumables prior to before, during, after welding.

3. Ensure that the requirements for all welds, welder and welding activities are
Correctly specified and carried out in accordance with the relevant codes
Client specification and contract standards.

4. Witnessing of welding procedure qualification test and maintaining records of data

In welding parameter sheet.

5. Maintain calibration records of inspection/test equipment.

6. Ensure stage wise inspection as per inspection test plan or quality assurance plan.

7. Marking, Fit-up Inspection & Dimensional inspection as per drawing and

Visual inspection of welding.

8. Monitoring and inspection of welding, pre heat, interpass temperature, post heat and pwht.

9. Knowledge of essential variables for WPS of welding process SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW.
