Configuring WebGUI
Before adding a WebGUI for HTML App to Fiori Launchpad, please ensure that the WebGUI works properly
without Fiori Launchpad.
1. After log on to the Backend system, in the command field type SICF
9
3. Click Activate Service
10
Creating semantic object
In this case I will launch transaction code: WEBGUI from Fiori Launchpad, so I will create a semantic object
named WEBGUI
1. Log on to Frontend system and run transaction code /N/UI2/SEMOBJ then click on change button to
create a semantic object
11
3. Click on the New Entries button
Next we need to access Launchpad Designer in order to create a Catalog and a Group. To access Fiori Launchpad
Designer, follow the following steps:
Fiori Launchpad Designer has the following URL format:
http(s)://<HOST-NAME>:PORT/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_upb_admn/main.html
1. Input the user ID and password to log on to Launchpad designer
13
3. Give the Catalog any name and any ID, and click on Save button.
Semantic Object: the semantic object created for the transaction code
Action : display
Application Type: we launch a transaction code from Launchpad so select Transaction here
Title : give a name for the App
14
Transaction: Input the transaction code
System Alias: The same as the first part of the RFC destination which you defined in chapter 1
For example, you defined the RFC destination in your Frontend system,
which is T01CLNT001_HTTPS, so you have to use ’T01CLNT001’ as your
Note system alias.
If there is any difference with the first part of the RFC destination, it will
navigate to Local system.
15
7. Click on App Launcher – Static tile as shown below:
16
Configuring Group

18
Assigning Catalog to the Role

5. Click on the Menu Tab and click on the Insert Node button as shown below:
20
7. You should see the following screen then click on the Catalog ID to select the Catalog ID
21
9. Now we should have the following screen then click on the green check button
Next we need to assign the group that we have created to the Role. Follow the following steps:
22
2. From the menu Insert Node select SAP Fiori Tile Group as shown below:
23
4. Select ZWebGUI ID that we have created previously
24
6. Click on User tab, assign this role to the user then save
