Learning through Mother Tongue Language

at UISG
Language is fundamental to learning and
permeates the PYP. Our unique Mother Tongue
programme immerses our students in
language-rich learning engagements, allowing
our students to learn through their own mother
tongue language, gaining a deeper conceptual
understanding. Year level teachers collaborate
with Mother Tongue teachers to build
language-rich learning engagements
throughout each unit of inquiry. English as an Additional Language (EAL)
EAL learners are regarded as full members of
