PROCEDURE FOR DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

1. Purpose
To ensure scientific designing by finalizing the products/ configuration requirements pertaining to IT
products of customers.

2. Scope
Customer requirements which are to be realized through configuration management, design and
development.

3. Procedure
a. Customer requirements and collection of design inputs.
On receipt of request from customer for giving suitable proposal which meets the customer requirements,
the Marketing (Account) Executive collects inputs, configuration requirements etc Regarding available
systems, using the enquiry cum cost sheet (R-1).Legal, statutory and additional requirements, if any, as
applicable are identified. Previous configurations and previous offers act as Major inputs to design and
development A time scale is discussed and finalized between the marketing (Account Executive) and the
customer.

b. Design and Development

The Project cell identifies the stage of design including review, verification & validation requirements, as
applicable and subsequently design outputs are finalized. Project cell designs Products with suitable
configuration and prepares the design. The finalized design is converted in the form of system
configuration

c. Design validation & changes

The design proposal prepared by the project cell is validated by Head (ITP), as applicable. Design and
development changes are incorporated, if required. The final design proposal is amended Accordingly
and submitted to customer as offer (R-4).

4. Responsibility and Authority

Head (ITP)
Head (ITP) holds the authority for finalization of design and submission of offer.

Marketing (Account) Executive

Marketing (Accounts) Executive holds the overall responsibility for collection of inputs and
interaction with the customer.

Project Cell
Project Cell is responsible for design validation.
