Double Coin Shirt This piece and the one that follows are the best illustration of how knots, especially the Double Coin Knot, can be thought of as “rivets” on a framework of rope. We created the piece in response to a fan’s desire to have a decorative top that was easy to tie and built upon knot knowledge she already possessed. After much deliberation, we came up with the following, Best of all, it may be named after coins, but it won’t cost you your shirt, Rope length: Two lengths 30 to 40 feet (9 - 12m) Rope diameter: % to / inch (9 - 11mm)Tum to the back of your partner and tie a Double Coin Knot between the shoulder blades.Now split the front and back working ends of rope toward one side of your partner’s chest and tie a Double Coin Knot a couple of inches down from the armpit. Repeat Step 4 on the other side. Reunite the front working ends just below your partner’s chest and tie another Double Coin Knot.
