PLOT LINE
(BRIEFLY explain what is asked for in each number)

1. EXPOSITION
A. How do the characters’ physical, emotional, and mental characteristics affect the other parts of
the story?
- Timber’s mental characteristics could lead the story into a good way because of his
kindness and caring of Harry.
- Dr.Ganderbai’s mental characteristics also made the story to be good because he tried to
find ways to help Harry.
- The story seemed to be bad in the end because of Harry’s emotion, he thought that
Dr.Ganderbai told him a liar so he shouted badly to the doctor “Why, you dirty little
Hindu sewer rat!” and that made the doctor felt bad and went home.
B. Do you think that setting is important in other parts of the story? Why or Why not?
- Yes, it let the readers know where the characters were (like when Timber came back
home and saw that Harry was in bed and asked for some help).
C. Identify ONE figure of speech or idiom used by the writer in this part of the plot, and explain its
meaning.
- Imagery, the writer used this figure of speech for the readers to imagine the picture of
man who wore a pajamas with blue, brown and white stripes and slept in his bed.
- check answers: POV and B (understand the question well)
- check your punctuation: You are missing your FULL STOP.
