Daniels Business program and hopes to make a
career out of developing properties in the
future. In his free time, Drew loves writing
music, racing go-karts, and watching movies.
He also likes brainstorming ways in which he
can try to make money without having to get a “real” job in college. So far, the best idea he has
is the Madden Challenge project. Some things you may not know about Drew is he has OCD,
which can work in a positive way for him at times, such as helping obsess over something he is
passionate about and allowing him to put all of his hard work into that passion. Drew also does a
very good job at time-management and does not procrastinate on his work. He is good at
working with others and hearing out other people’s ideas; however, he is not afraid to be honest
about how he feels. Drew is a caring individual and cares for other people’s success. When it
comes to his focus in a group, he is very good at adapting to any task he is put into. He tends to
ask a lot of questions as well making sure he is doing the right thing. Drew is not afraid to
advocate for himself or for his group and will always be there for his team. If he needs to get
something done for the team, he will make sure to get that task done as soon as possible. When it
comes to dealing with stress, Drew is very good at not allowing it to become an issue. He
meditates to calm his head, and makes a schedule to ensure he does not get overpacked with a
ton of work at once. Drew is looking forward to working with his Madden Challenge group and
cannot wait to design his first business with his team.
Meet Katarina Marinkovic. Katarina is from Belgrade, Serbia (Southeastern Europe). She grew
up watching her dad play volleyball. As a child she had a dream to become a professional
volleyball player just like her dad. She started chasing her dream very young and soon she
started playing for the best club in Serbia but also for the youth national team of Serbia. After
graduation from high school in Belgrade she lost her desire of chasing her dream. She was lost
because she wanted to apply for a college but at the same time play volleyball professionally,
which was almost impossible in Serbia. So, she took a gap year and just played volleyball during
that time. She was not happy, she was missing something in her life and that was education. She
heard things about U.S. colleges and decided to come here. She is now pursuing a finance major
at the University of Denver and playing the sport she loves. Katarina is a very active person and
she likes to be outside, otherwise she likes to work with numbers and is interested in statistics
and analyzing them. From being on the team for over ten years she learned valuable lessons like:
how important time management is, how to be a good teammate, know when to lead and when to
let other people lead and the most important thing how to perform on the highest level under
pressure. Katarina’s other passion is traveling, and she enjoys exploring new destinations and
cultures. She does not like making plans for the future, because it never happens the way it is
planned, but she sees herself playing volleyball in Italy or France. She is very excited to work
with people that have similar ideas and to develop her first business.

Meet Nadia Czebiniak. She grew up in Darien, Connecticut,

and spent her summers in Ukraine and Maine, where she
developed a deep love for international travel and nature. Her
passions include art, photography, and environmental sustainability. She is currently pursuing a
degree in International Business, as well as a degree in Environmental Science. Afterwards, she
hopes to partner with international businesses to help them develop environmentally sustainable
and cost effective policies. She also hopes to travel and explore cultures, food, and landscapes
around the world. In her free time she enjoys volunteer work. She volunteered as an EMT
throughout high school, but has been turning her focus more recently to more sustainable work.
Her most recent projects include hiking trail restorations, community garden construction and
working with the Food Recovery Network on campus. In college, she looks forward to becoming
more involved in outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, camping, kayaking, and bee
keeping, and is excited at the opportunities that Colorado has to offer. She also loves the city,
and has been enjoying taking the lightrail to Pearl Street and Downtown to explore new
neighbourhoods. Nadia is an open and caring person, and loves to meet and bond with new
people. She strives to always be there for people and help out in any way that she can. She
always thinks positive and is working on
being more outgoing in college. She works
well within groups and can help with
whatever is needed. Making progress and
finishing projects is something that really
motivates her, and she easily becomes
passionate about whatever she is dedicated to
in and outside of school. She is looking
forward to developing this project and
working closely with her teammates, and
although she knows very little about the
shipping business, is excited immerse herself
in it.
Meet Anna Andrews. She was born in
Kalamazoo, Michigan but moved to
Columbus, Indiana at just three years old.
She started playing soccer as soon as the
local team would allow her, and continued to play through her senior year of high school for a
total of twelve years. After her younger sister was born with Down Syndrome, she developed a
strong passion for helping others, especially those with special needs. She was convinced that the
best way to pursue this passion was to become a special education teacher until her senior year of
high school, when she took a statistics class and absolutely loved it. Currently, she is pursuing a
degree in Business Information and Analytics. She hopes to one day use her knowledge to create
her own non-profit organization that helps those with special needs. Throughout her entire life,
she has loved camping and spending time outside. In high school, she was an active member of
her community and worked as a tutor for elementary children. During her time in college, she is
excited to be able to learn from experts and meet people with different perspectives than her
own. She hopes to learn to ski this coming winter
and spend lots of time outdoors. Anna is an
understanding, caring, and passionate person.
She has never taken a business class before and is
very excited to emerge herself into this
completely new information. Anna is a
committed person and never gives up on the
tasks in front of her. By creating a service with
her group, she will be able to understand all
aspects of a business plan and all of the work that
goes into it. She will do everything that she can
to create a business plan that she and her group
will be proud of. She is a hard worker and cannot
wait to get started.

Meet Ari Goldstein. He was born in Santa Cruz

California, but when his dad finally got his first job he moved to Blacksburg, Virginia, and grew
up there until the 4th grade. His father, Bruce, got a job at the University of Colorado and
became a professor of environmental studies. His mother, Vicki, started the Colorado Ocean
Coalition, the first ocean advocacy nonprofit, which turned out to be quite a success. In middle
school and high school, Ari played a lot of sports because he enjoyed it and it was a great
workout. Once he found his passion with biking and snowboarding, he decided that he would get
really good at these activities and drop the sports he no
longer cared about. Throughout high school, Ari
became very interested in the transportation industry
and city planning through games like Sim City and
Cities Skylines. He hopes to one day revolutionize
transportation by working with the Boring Company to
create tunnels under large cities and finally turn our 2-
dimensional transportation system 3-dimensional. Ari
really likes money, and that is why he is studying
business. One of his favorite proverbs is “Life is like a
shit sandwich, the more bread you have the less shit
you eat.” He enjoys working in groups and is extremely
excited to finally learn about things that he can apply to
his future and passion in business.

Meet Jun Ho Won. He was born in Seoul, South Korea but moved the Philippines when he was 2
years old. After living in Manila for 11 years, he moved to Honolulu, HI. Jun Ho took the game
of golf at a young age of 5, where he was forced to play however, as years went by he fell in love
with the game and wanted to pursue a career with it. After high school, he attended Boise State
University for golf but didn’t like it there and decided to transfer to University of Denver where
he is pursuing a college golf career and an International Business degree. Jun Ho is a very caring
person, always putting others first before him. He loves playing other sports like basketball and
soccer, he loves going to the beach and hiking. He also loves music. He wouldn’t do anything
without it, whether it’s practice, working out, driving, or studying and doing homework. He also

life. Ever since he was young, Jun Ho was an extremely active kid, who loved it when he got to
go outside and play. His hobbies now consists of hiking, working out, and obviously golf.

would go out late at night into the city and take breathtaking photos of skyscrapers and different
lightings. With golf, Jun Ho sharpened his social skills since he had to meet and talk to a lot of
new people, especially businessmen and even CEO’s. Now, he knows how to communicate with
them efficiently. He isn’t afraid of talking to people that he just met. Even though he isn’t too
familiar with container businesses, Jun Ho is excited to learn new stuff about the business and

Based on the team’s responses to the quizzes, there are only visual and kinesthetic
learners in the group. Visual learners understand material best by seeing diagrams or other visual
stimuli to help them comprehend. The team’s visual learners are Drew, Nadia, and Anna, so
these three will be good at working on the diagrams for their product, such as a drawn out
revenue model. Kinesthetic learners like to move around while they work. The team’s kinesthetic
learners are Ari, Katarina, and Jun Ho, so these three will work best with hands on material and
physically creating a product.
For the brain orientation, the left brain represents the analytical and logical thinking side
while the right brain represents the creative and artistic side. In general, the team scored near the
center of the scale. This means that every member has a good balance between deductive
reasoning and imaginative skills. All members of the team will be able to contribute well with
every aspect of the project.
Finally, the team has a wide variety of Top Gardner MIs. Many members of the team
scored high on the interpersonal MI. This means that they are very aware of how others feel and
will be good team players. Those with a high linguistic score will be good contributors to the
written parts of this project. Those with high logical-mathematical scores will enjoy working
with the data and numbers that come along during this process. These people may want to work
with the finances of the business. It is important that the group has many different personality
traits as this will ensure that the business plan is solid in all aspects and makes sense to everyone.
