PRAYERS FOR THE DECEASED: We pray for our loved ones who have died recently.

PRAYERS FOR THE SICK AND SHUT-IN: “Let us raise up in prayer those who seek God’s
healing love, those at the hospital, hospice and at home”. We pray especially for Gary Cybulski,
Kay Kasaboski and Gladys McNulty. May your struggle be consoled by Christ’s love“.

ON OUR WAY WITH JESUS: Our first family meeting will begin
at 7:00 p.m. on October 14th in the church.
Please call Fr. Proulx if you will not be there. We will not
accept registrations for this program after the first meeting.
CONFIRMATION: Our time of preparation is about to begin. I wish to
express gratitude to our animated and very generous team of catechists
for this year. Please note: our beginning gathering on Wednesday, October
13 th in the church.
PERU MISSIONS: Tickets for the lovely tablecloths from Peru are again
available this weekend at the doors of the church. The draw will take place at the
Confirmation reception on Sunday, November 21 st. Proceeds will be donated to the
Mission of the Sisters of Saint Joseph in Chincha Alta, Peru. Thank you for supporting
this worthy cause.

PRIESTS’ RETREAT: The annual gathering of our priests of the diocese for their retreat
will take place from October 17th to 21st. Please note that there will not be daily Mass
during that time.

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY: is on October 24th this year. This is a world wide collection
for the missionary church that provides emergency aid when disasters strike, cares
for refugees in war torn nations, provides rural health clinics and transportation for
priests, catechists, religious and lay pastoral workers. It provides financial support
for the daily needs of all missionaries. Please pray for the missions and be generous
on World Mission Sunday.

♦ REGULAR general meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 12th at 7 p.m. in the Large Hall. All members
are invited and encouraged to attend. Our guest speaker Eleanore Keon will be giving an informative talk on
Health issues. Ladies are requested to bring something for the Food Bank.
♦ DIOCESAN FALL MEETING: S.F.X. C.W.L. is hosting the Diocesan Fall Meeting on Saturday, October 30th
at our church hall commencing at 8:30 a.m. All members are invited.
♦ TEA & TALENT SALE: Saturday, Nov. 13th from 1 – 4 p.m. in S.F.X. Hall. We will gratefuly accept
donations of crafts, squares (for the Tea Room), baked goods, candies, carvings, jams, jellies, sewing, knitting,
monetary donations, etc. for the event. Everyone welcome to donate.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, Renfrew Council 1916:
♦ will hold their next General Meeting on Monday, Oct. 11 th at 7 p.m. in the K of C Hall. All

♦ Collect aluminum cans, aluminum eavestroughs, aluminum siding, copper, liquor and beer bottles
and old car batteries on the last Sunday of every month. All proceeds from the sale of these items
