Central Processing Unit

3) Explain briefly the role of the input unit.

They allow the user to enter data and instructions into a computer
processing unit.

4) Explain briefly the role of the CPU.

It carries out/processes the instruction given by a computer program by
performing basic arithmetic, and delivers an output.

5) Explain briefly the role of the output unit.

They display the results of processing to the user in forms of visual and
hearing.

6) Explain briefly the role of the memory unit.

RAM (Random Access Memory):
Used to hold temporary instructions and data to access the
information very quickly.
HDD and SSD (Hard Disk Drive and Solid State Drive)
Stores the data even if the computer is turned off, but the access
to the information is not as quick as the RAM

7) What is software?
Programs and operating systems (OS) used by a computer.

8) What is hardware?
The physical component of a computer, such as the display screen.
