INTERIM SUPERINTENDENT EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT. ‘This Agreement is entered into between the BOARD OF EDUCATION (“BOARD”) OF SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. IN THE CITY AND COUNTY OF DENVER (*Distict” of “DPS") and Ronald G. Cabrera (*Cabrera” or “Interim Superintendent”) A. EMPLOYMENT, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 1. Term of Appointment, The Bourd hereby employs Cabrera for the time period commencing October 1, 2018, and continuing through January 31, 2019, or eatlier if the ‘Agreement is terminated before this date, From October 1, 2018 through October 19, 2018, Cabrera will be working at the direction of Superintendent Tom Boasberg in order to ensure a smooth transition. Cabrera will formally take onthe Interim Superintendent role ater Boasberg's final day on October 19, 2018, 2. Compensation, The District will py Cabrera $20,000 per month, plus the amount necessary to cover the portion paid to PERA, subject to applicable and required withholdings and such other deductions as may be required by law. His schedule will be the same asthe 235 day. administrator calendar. The monthly payment will be prorated if this Agreement is terminated prior tothe end of a month, 3. Benefits. The Interim Superintendent will have four paid sick days and four personal days, If he docs not use these days, they will eqpire wt the teriuinaion of the Agreement and will not be paid out. He shall receive no other benefits or compensation, other than the reimbursement of expenses as described below. He is nt eligible for paid vacation or health life, dental, vision, or disability insurance or any other benefits provided by the District. 4. Reimbursement_of Expenses, The District shall reimburse the Interim ‘Superintendent in avcordance with District expense reimbursement policies and procedures for the reasonable necessary expenses incurred by the Interim Superintendent associated with carrying ‘out his duties and activites hereunder: B, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Thelnerim Superintendent shall perform the duties and responsibilities set fort in ‘Board Poliey CBACBC and all duties incident tothe office ofthe Superintendent and such other reasonable duties ws may be prescribed bythe Board from time-to-time consistent withthe position of Superintendent. This Agreement is intended by the parties tobe for fullsime employment. The Interim Superintendent shall devote attention to the funetions of fatrim Superintendent at al mes during the term ofthis Agreement.
