Apart from a fun-filled evening of tan-
talising cuisine and vibrant entertain-
ment, the event provides a worthwhile
opportunity for local chefs to enter the
Perfect Paella Prize competition that
meal that stands out from the other
competitors’ entries.
We will be looking for the traditional
flavours of a paella and would also like
to see that something extra. Presenta-
tion of the finished dish will count, as
will the techniques competitors adopt
during the cooking process. The latter
will demonstrate the contestants’ ease
in a kitchen environment. I have invited
celebrity chefs to judge the entries.
Guitars and castanets will fill the air
with lively melodies that promise to en-
courage guests to enjoy a colourful
