In view of the significant increase in number of projects being implemented by the Department
and its continued thrust of ensuring quality in project implementation, Section 3.0, Criteria for the
Assignment of DPWH Materials Engineers of Department Order No. 12, Series of 2013
"Accreditation of DPWH Materials Engineers" is hereby revised as follows:

A. For Unified Project Management Office (UPMO)

Provisional Materials Engineers may be assigned to a maximum of three (3) DPWH Projects
simultaneously with individual project cost of Php3 Million to Php20 Million and an aggregate
amount of not more than Php60 Million.

Provisional Materials Inspectors may be assigned to a maximum of three (3) DPWH Projects
simultaneously with individual project cost of not more than Php3 Million and an aggregate
amount of not more than Php9 Million.

Non-Accredited Materials Engineers are hereby prohibited to be assigned to DPWH Projects in

light of the implementation of the Provisional Accreditation of Materials Engineers and Materials
Inspectors.

Except for the above amendments, the other provisions of Department Order No. 12, Series of
2013 shall remain in force.

This Order supersedes D.O. No. 79, Series of 2018 and shall take effect immediately .
