Special Issues are coordinated with guest editors. Series of around 6 articles for example.

They
worked in the special topic after choosing between some submissions

The objective of the article was to illustrate the effects as how they happen and the
mechanisms that interact in between.

Agenda-Setting:
They tell you what to think about?

Negotiation Models:

Doesn’t overlap perfectly with inter-effects but it interacts with he mechanisms that work over
the initial effects.

Priming:

El primer efecto que nos dan los medios sobre algun programa o persona política

National Anthem in sports; we are primed to think about the national anthem and the sports
in a particular way; when somebody wins in a sports competition and the national anthem
plays. You should be proud of your flag when the anthem plays, you should stand up and if you
don’t, you’re against your nation. There is a scheme about how we should think about the
national anthem and the conduct of people to it.

Framing:

How the issue is presented

Bias influences the framing.

Bias can end in framing but its not the same.

It’s not only about influencing; but also, to make sure that the reader has enough cue to
understand what the issue is about.

Agenda setting is helpful for fighting the information overload.

Accessibility:

The access of information that you are granted access to. (Similar to framing)

Applicability:

Applicability effect is the connection of ideas made out by the journalist; and how the
connection between 2 ideas could help the reader to understand the issue by getting those
relations between the ideas thanks to the journalist’s texts.

Public framing > Public vs private content.
