General
This ZIP file contains template files for managing SAP S/4HANA transformation projects. The files can serve
as a starting point for project planning, and need to be tailored to customer specific project aspects. For
instance, you will need to adjust the template with respect to the implementation scenario you are using.
For a general description, how to work with road maps, see file
“S4HANA_Roadmap_General_Information.pdf”.
The structure of the templates relates to the structure of the road map “Transition to SAP S/4HANA”, which
has been published in Q3 2018. A PDF version of the road map is part of the ZIP file – see file
“Transition_to_SAP_S4HANA – 18Q3_Final.pdf”. Open the Bookmark Bar in your PDF viewer for easy
navigation.
Select the template which serves your requirements best. Feedback and comments can be sent to
christoph.nake@sap.com.

The File *Upload_to_MS_Project\Project-Plan_EN_18Q3-Activity and Task-Level.mpp* contains all
activities and tasks of the road map including descriptive texts. Configuration activities and tasks have been
structured in sprints (agile implementation methodology). Scenario filtering is possible. Dependencies
between activities and tasks, and durations are modeled as well. The template file can be opened and
adjusted in MS Project.
Please note that the durations are proposals only coming from complex transition cases, which need to be
verified in your specific project context. Some tasks which need special review are marked in yellow.
All durations given in the template files are examples only. All template files need to be tailored, to reflect
customer project needs (e.g. by deleting tasks which are not relevant for your transition scenario, or by
adding scrum cycles).
