Dear ASSA, Indonesian Society for Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy members,

A
s the rule, werotate our meeting and cadaveric workshop to every
country members. In 2018, we are honored to combine our meeting
with Indonesian Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy in
Semarang, Indonesia. During the last meetings, we had a great opportunity to
share our knowledge, our expertise and to build up a good friendship between
all country members under a common roof of South-East Asia. We have also
transferred and shared the surgical techniques during the workshops on
cadavers and live surgeries done by ASSA faculty.And I do hope that we will
gather more success in the combined meeting of this year.
With our participants from Indonesia and other ASEAN countries, I am sure that
you will enjoy the meeting in learning many useful and interesting things and
in building the friendship. I do appreciate the Organizing Committee for their
tireless efforts and all the faculties for their teaching activity.

e cordially invite you to the 6th Biennial Meeting Asean Society for
Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy (ASSA) Combined Meeting with
the 6th Annual Meeting Indonesian Orthopaedic Society for Sports
Medicine and Arthroscopy (IOSSMA) in Po Hotel Semarang (formerly known as
Crowne Plaza Hotel), Indonesia which will be held on September 5th – 8th 2018.
The ASSA Congress continues to be considered the premier international meeting,
providing a unique opportunity for attendees to share, discuss and learn the latest
advancements in arthroscopy, knee surgery and sports medicine.

The 6th Biennial Meeting Asean Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy
(ASSA) combined meeting with the 6th Annual Meeting Indonesian Orthopaedic
Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy (IOSSMA) will include a myriad of
educational opportunities. The meeting provides a variety of new and cutting
edge surgical techniques and approaches to clinical management, combined
with overviews of current controversies in orthopaedic practice. A variety of social
events will be offered including spouse and guest program and tour assistance.

I
t is my pleasure and my privilege to invite you to participate in the “6th
Biennial Meeting ASEAN Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy (ASSA)
combined meeting with the 6th Annual Meeting Indonesian Orthopaedic
Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy (IOSSMA) to be held on September
5th – 8th 2018 in Po Hotel Semarang (formerly known as Crowne Plaza Hotel).

The theme of this meeting is “New Challenges in Management of Anterior

Cruciate Ligament and Sports Injury” and will be held in 4 days, contain Cadaveric
Workshop, Symposia, and recorded Live Surgery from the expert Speakers.

It is our mission to provide you with higher quality learning, sharing and networking
opportunities in this meeting.

Semarang is a city on the north coast of the Island of Java. It is the capital and the
largest city of the province of Central Java. Semarang also has interesting places
like Lawang Sewu (thousand doors), Tugu Muda, The Sam Poo Kong Temple, etc
and has famous foods that must be tried like “Lumpia Semarang”, Bandeng Fish
Presto and Jamu (herbal medicine).

REGISTRATION FEE
All participants, including presenters of papers and presentation
posters, must register as participants. Registration fees include:
access to all scientific classes, access to exhibition, symposium kits,
lunch and coffee break.

TYPE OF REGISTRATION
Registration by Email
Participants must complete and submit the registration form as
required. After the submission of the application is accepted, the
participant then sends the payment receipt. Registration statement
will be ignored after 14 days without payment.

Onsite Registration
Those who have not registered in advance may register at onsite
registration desk. Cash payment in Rupiah and Dollar will be
accepted during onsite registration. No refund will be made for
onsite registration fees.
Online Registration
Make sure your internet connection is connected properly and
sufficient to make the registration process. Online registration process,
it is highly recommended to use Fire Fox, Safari or Chrome. Use of
IE is not recommended. Complete all the fields in the registration
form; make sure there are no missing fields. Complete the field on
the form of payment with the same data on the registration form.

HOTEL POLICY
Due to high demand on the hotel room at the time of congress,
the committee strongly recommended early reservations.Hotel
room reservation services depend on hotel room availability.

ROOM RATE
Hotel rooms at special congress rate are being held for the congress
participants at Po Hotel Semarang (formerly known as Crowne
Plaza Hotel). Room rates are in Rupiah, per night and per room
included breakfast for two persons. Reservations must be made
through the congress secretariat to guarantee the indicated rate
negotiates for the congress.

ACCOMMODATION REGULATION
1. Hotel room rate is net including 2 (two breakfasts)
2. Official Check-in time is at 15.00 and check-out is at 12:00 in
local time
3. Approval early check-in and late check-out is the hotel’s policy.
4. Reservations cannot be made without full deposit of a number
of nights booking based on room availability
5. No show will be applied on the first night of the delay and will
result in a loss of 1 night deposit
6. For hotel services not included in the package, will be charged
via personal account when check-out by the hotel

Call for Abstracts
The 6th Biennial Meeting Asean Society for Sports Medicine and
Arthroscopy (ASSA) Combined Meeting with The 6th Annual Meeting
Indonesian Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy
(IOSSMA) will be held in Semarang, Indonesia on September 5th – 8th,
2018. We invite all of you to submit your abstract of paper on
experimental or orthopaedic society. The abstract can be submitted
start from February 1st, 2018. Please follow the instructions for
submitting the abstract below

Deadline for Abstract Submission

Deadline for abstract submission is June 30th, 2018 11.59 PM
local time (Indonesia Standard Time / GMT +7). Please submit your
abstract as soon as possible before the deadline.

Announcement of Accepted Abstract

The accepted abstract will be announced on July 10th, 2018. The
presenting author will be notified by email. Please note that the
confirmation email will not be sent to co-author(s).

Preparation of Abstracts
• Language
Abstract must be written and presented in English. Careful
typing and proofreading is essential. Errors, misspellings, incorrect
hyphenation and deviations from the use of correct English cannot
be changed once the abstract is submitted
• Size
The size of the abstracts is limited to 1.000 words (including title,
body of abstract, spaces)
• Title
The title should clearly define the topic. Do not identify your
institution in the title
• Authors
Type full family name and first name of all authors. It is advisable to
check the correct spelling of the family and initials of each
authors.
• Body of the Abstract
The following headings have already been for you and should not
be entered in the text fields again: Introduction & Objectives,
Materials & Methods, Results, and Conclusions
If you must use other abbreviations, you must explain it the first
time it appears
• Acknowledgements
Do not include references, credit or grant support
• Human Experimentation
Any human experimentation conducted as part of the submitted
abstract(s) must follow the protocol approved by the institutional
or local committee on ethics in human investigation
• Moderated Abstract
Abstract will be selected in moderated and non-moderated. The
duration of moderated abstract can have maximum time 5
minutes (3 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion)
