Ranking Team Description

The team displays excellent teamwork and communication and uses tactics
1 and strategies effectively to win. Positioning on the court and correct
positioning technique is displayed. The team displays a good understanding of
the rules and concepts of volleyball. The teams also display correct body
positioning and technique through the shots.

The team displays a strong level of teamwork, an understanding of court

2 position and can work together to use strategies and tactics to their
advantage. The team shows a good understanding of where to stand on the
court, good body positioning through shots and understanding of the rules and
concepts of volleyball.

The team displays a good level of teamwork and communication between

3 each other. The team shows a strong understanding of strategies and tactics
to beat the opposition. The team demonstrates correct positioning on the
court between defence and offence and can perform volleyball shots using
correct body positioning and technique.
The team shows a standard level of teamwork and communication that assists
4 the team in winning a point. The team demonstrates a good understanding of
where to stand on the court and the correct technique used when in the ready
position. The team demonstrates a reasonable understanding of the strategies
and tactics that can be used to win a point. The team demonstrates good
technique when performing a shot.
The team displays teamwork and communication strategies. The team
5 attempts to use different strategies and tactics to benefit the team and
positioning on the court is to a satisfactory level. The team has some
understanding of the concepts and rules of volleyball and can demonstrate but
not perfect the correct technique through their shots.

stand on the court and aren’t always positioned correctly. The team displays
reasonable understanding of the volleyball rules and concepts and attempts

7 uses strategies and tactics occasionally to win a point. Positioning on the court
at times in accurate however repositioning is often not shown and
compromises the teams defence. The team shows a limited amount of
understanding of when to use different strategies and tactics.
