DINNER MOVED TO COPLEY MARRIOTT
St. Anthony Shrine’s annual fundraising dinner has changed venues.
The event this Thursday, October 25, will now be held at the BOSTON,
COPLEY MARRIOTT,  110 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02116.
Individual seats are available until 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 22.

This is a very deliberate move in support of the union workers who are
picketing at the Westin Waterfront.  When we originally booked the Westin
months ago, we had no way of knowing of the pending labor dispute.
The union is not picketing the Copley Marriott, and we look forward to
welcoming you at this wonderful venue.

Perhaps in some way, this might be a teachable moment about the

Catholic Church’s long-standing support of workers’ rights, fair wages,
and the dignity of all workers. The Church’s public support of unions goes
back to 1891. We at the Shrine support this particular union action and,
as we go forward, will continue to advocate for the dignity of all people,
including and especially workers.
