Outline

1._ Introduction

A. The consumption of alcohol and drugs is something that both families that

medical centers are facing. And it can be said that most of the people who consume drugs

and alcohol have been doing it since their adolescence and in fact it is difficult to control

the adolescents nowadays, because they may not consume it in the presence of their

relatives, but there will always be some way that will allow them to consume it.

B. The consumption of alcohol and drugs in teenagers is considered a social problem

in which factors such as family problems, curiosity and the desire to become independent

are partial.

2._Body

B. Family problems:

Sometimes family problems provoke us make very big mistakes because they affect us

morally and academically. That is why many adolescents see themselves or feel obliged

to undergo to alcohol and drugs. Because they think that this is the way to forget about

problems or at least to get distracted, but I believe that this is not the only way and they
have to understand that neither alcohol nor drugs help anyone to overcome anything, it

can make you feel liberated while you are high. but once the drunkenness and the drugs

in your body are over, you return to normal and feel the pain or restlessness that the

problems cause you.

B. Curiosity:

The mentality of children begins to change after a certain age. The United Nations Office

on Drugs (UNODC) noted that "Adolescence represents a stage of change and learning

that can awaken the curiosity of young people and the desire to experience what it feels

like to be under the influence of drugs." Many Teenagers do everything to be cool or to

be accepted and impress others.

C. The desire to become independent:

Dr. Esperón Cesar states that “The adolescent also tends to try to break the established

rules and go against the parents and, at times, he does it using excessive and dangerous

alcoholic beverages.” In other words, Esperón asserts that the teenagers become very

violent when they are high and regardless of the consequences because in this state one

says things without realizing it and sometimes they often argue with their parents

forgetting that they owe them a respect. When they see that their parents want to advise

them, they think that they are attacking and oppressing them and then start looking for

any way to become independent. They believe that because they have a certain age and

do certain things they are already capable of making their own decisions, and this is not

always the case. You do not need to be of legal age if you still act like a child. Not
everyone does it and unfortunately people think that everyone does it, for this behavior

older people say that today's teenagers are rude. For them they believe that young people

can not raise a nation because they believe that we are all irresponsible, the elderly have

already lost hope in young people, they do not believe that we are capable of anything,

they just say that the generation of now are drug addicts.

Conclusion:

I think there is no need to do what others do because there are people struggling every

day to stop alcohol and drugs, so it is better to leave it while you can. There is no need to

lose your youth in something that hurts you, my recommendation is to put on top what is

really worth, for instance, the family, do not disappoint your parents, rather make them

proud of you because they are always for us , to support us.
