Our story began in 1948, when Al Cassell opened Cassell's Hamburgers, an iconic lunch counter
in Los Angeles. Famously known for grinding fresh beef everyday and for making his own mayonaisse,
his inspiring and relentless passion for the hamburger lives on.

The soul of the restaurant stays true to Al’s original principles of being a hamburger shop that
focuses on premium beef, ground daily in house.

All of our beef is grass-fed, grain-finished with no added hormones and are antibiotic free. Our Mary’s
chicken and eggs are free-range. Our Beelers pork products are free of nitrates, added hormones
and antibiotics. Our albacore tuna is sustainable, line-caught from the Pacific Northwest and poached
in house. We use Fosselman’s Ice Cream in our handmade shakes, all of our sauces are made in house
using organic eggs, and we only use raw sugar, fresh fruits, herbs and organic ingredients in our syrups.
