*In block harmonizations diminished chords can be thought of as dominant inb9first inversion
which suggest Vii 0 (5th mode Harmonic minor scale) or purely as a diminished sound suggesting
the diminished scale. The Bridge of "Softly"exemplifies both approaches to diminished chords
when writing block.
