Reminders: (Please attach homework to this sheet weekly. Please send a healthy snack each
day for your child.)
MONEY IS NOW DUE FOR THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS PERFORMANCE. WE ALSO NEED TO KNOW THE
NUMBER OF PARENTS THAT PLAN ON ATTENDING THE TRIP BY TOMORROW. SEATS WILL ONLY BE
RESERVED FOR THOSE THAT PAY BY TOMORROW.

This Week’s Focus: Students will be working with hundreds charts, number lines, base ten blocks
and other strategies in math to subtract up to two-digit numbers. We are also learning strategies to
add up to four two-digit numbers. During reading, students will be reading about dogs and using
dog themed books to learn about author’s purpose. We will also be reading Henry and Mudge
Together in the Fall. Students will also continue to learn about weather this week in science.
Students will record the weather daily to learn about weather patterns. We will continue working
on narrative writing that includes a beginning, middle and ending.
