INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN MALAYSIA

What: To investigate the effectiveness of academic framework for pedagogical process in higher
institutions of learning in Malaysia with regards to MBA programme.

Why: Graduates do not measure up to industry standards. Lacking in adequate and relevant
knowledge and skills in workplace environment.

How: Identify the gap between the academic achievement and the industry requirement. Establish an
investigative methodology and schedule for the conduct of the investigation.

When: Upon identifying problem statement, sufficient background studies and determination of
survey methodologies, and approval of the proposal with regards to the current situation on the
effectiveness of employed MBA graduates.

Target: Graduates, Senior Lecturers, Department/Program Heads and Academic Directors, Industry
practitioners, Education Ministry Officials.

Sampling: 25% Institutions of Higher Learning, Industry and Regulators.

(Scope: Institutions of HL conducting MBA programmes, MBA Graduates, Industry and MOE.)

Introduction

We have to take cognizant of the fact that, human society has gone through various eras of progress and
development since the dawn of human civilization. Traversing through the cave era to the contemporary
era (IoT era), human society had been adopting organic changes in various dimensions particularly in the
area of economics, in search of satisfying human needs, wants and desires. The progresses made this
far ,

The purpose of this quantitative study was to determine the effect that specific researched based
instructional methods, assessments, and student learning methods had on student academic
achievement as measured by school accountability rankings.
